Original Performer:

The Hillside Singers

Parody Song Title:

"I'd Like to Take All of Ukraine"

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

Vlad Putin sings:

I'd like to send this message home
Courtesy of Iron Glove
With BMPs and T-90s
Fulcrums and Flankers high above

I'd like to take all of Ukraine
Wipe out their NATO pleas
Put it back under the Red Star
And keep it permanently

(Chorus 2)
That's just my thing
Keeping the West at bay
Separatists getting their way
Enjoying Russian trade

I'd like to see the US chumps
Make stupid UN demands
Threaten air and naval action
Saber rattle as best they can

But it's not their land
Missiles pointed their way
I defeat all their plans
Russian troops there to stay

(Chorus 2)

Gotta have it my way!!!
Don't care what the world has to say...

(That wore me out, somebody bring me a Coke!!!)

If someone younger doesn't understand the Coke refs, the OS was a TV commercial made into a pop song (no pun intended). The commercial from 1971 was sung on a hillside in Ireland, I believe. When it was turned into a pop song, the people were simply called the Hillside Singers for their role. The song charted in the Top 10. There was a third version as well with slightly different lyrics and different singers. I chose the one in the middle.
