The Lyrics

Last weekend on Saturday Night Live, first-year cast member Jenny Slate made a blunder on live TV: She used the F-word! Rumors were that Slate's first show would be her last, but it looks like she will stay. I guess accidents do happen. Why would a show struggling for ratings of late stoop to such a stunt just for the publicity it would generate? On their season premier? With a new cast member? Hmm…
Jenny Slate
Had a f*ck-up just the other day
But it looks as though they’ll let her stay
Oh, she’s relieved, is Jenny Slate

Blundered she
That banned word that starts with f-u-c
Did she drop the f-bomb purposely?
Oh, best to ask them: NBC

Did they really know, on the show
What she would say?
Network went along
For the throng of press display?

Jenny Slate
Loves the much ado, we made her day
FCC will look the other way
Oh, NBC won’t have to pay

Tried to hype their show, how'd it go?
It worked okay
She said one word wrong
Now it’s done, talk underwa-a-a-ay

Jenny Slate
Had some *trouble* with her lines, dismay
How it looks as though they tried that way
o, nbc, fu, ok?

Hmm...hm...hm…hm…hm…hm…hmmm?

I missed that..usually watch SNL, too...did they have time to bleep it with their broadcast delay. or did it go out over the air waves?...timely spoofing.

Didn't catch it either, but it sounded like it was only bleeped out on west coast. With all the reat of the stuff on cable, it is not as big a deal any more. I hadn't thought about it being a promotion blip. Nicely done.

Ha! Wonderful commentary...I loved the last line (before the hmmms), especially! :)

Didn't see it but can't believe it wasn't planned. Good job at milking the situation for all it's worth. Will there be hell to pay? Hey, if the entertainment industry has no problem with 44 year old men raping (but not 'rape-raping) 13 year old girls, what's an "accidental" 4-letter word on live tv every once in a while?

It was an accident, I swear! Why won't anyone believe me? ... Jennie, I feel for you, dear. They're all so cynical!

alvin: LOL, that's what I'm @#$%&* talkin' about.

TJC: Thanks, I think she has @#$%&* potential.
