Let's do some add ops,
Will be, movin' sums wholly.
You take, two-two add all,
You get, only fowah.
You will err, down if it's three..
Be a number broker,
You'll be adding with ease.

Sum me! Sum me! Sum me! Sum me!

Let's tear down two nine,
You got, toes ten; that's all,
You got, ten free fingers,
Don't use, Motorola®,
Okay - you know two, two you've seen,
One thing I will tell you,
Don't use adding machine.
Sum together, right now, it's routine.

Sum me! Sum me! Sum me! Sum me!

Add by deduction,
Don't get, numb-less sum roots,
You use, oh no slide rule,
For the, final adder.
Adding feet, pounds, or temp. degrees,
Hold the heavy hardware,
You can deal math with ease.
Sum together, right now, easily.

Sum me! Sum me!

Zero's a ghost-er,
Do no, number turning,
It don't, bloody matter,
It's one, oh no filler.
You pay none, and none, and none, it's free.
It just sits there cooking,
But it still has to be,
Sum together, right now, logic'ly.

Sum me! Sum me! Sum me! Sum me!

Sum together, yeah... Sum together yeah...
Sum together, yeah... Sum together yeah...
Sum together, yeeah... Sum together, yeeeeah....
Sum together, yeeeeah... Sum together, yeah... Sum together... yeah...

Hey this is a great job you did with this late 60s song, Guy! 555's for you!
John Barry - April 01, 2008 - Report this comment
I did the math--adds up to 555.

Mr. DiRito: I 'wholly' approve of this most logical and oddly stimulating parody (there's just sumthing about it) and hereby add 101 x 11 to your log'rhythmic'lly expanding binary registers... I'm most anxious to hear your take on, ahem, song division
Red Ant - April 01, 2008 - Report this comment
Very creative for this OS and well done, Guy.

Would have been good on Square One Television! 555

5+5+5 = Lots of fun. (But had a lot of fun myself, actually, creating firmware for a Mototola MC68HC711E9 that was the intelligence embedded in a development project here about 20 years ago.) :-)

Sir Guy, ~Le Marquis de Song d'Vision~ . . .I grant thee sum fives for this logically witty ditt!

The comments left out part of my comment. I gave you 5's and could tell it was top rate by the halting manner in which they 'sung', which you captured. : )

Good stuff, Guy. I have awarded you 101, 101, 101. Then again, I am counting in Base Two :)

I just entered this parody in the ABC-S round of comps and have noticed that I neglected to thank all of you for your fine comments and votes. How ghastly rude of me - please to forgive. Sorry it took me so long to respond. Your response to this write is greatly appreciated by this author. Ciao.

Best o'Luck to you, Sir Guy, ~Lord of Highest Parody ~ (( X ))

Not a big fan of The Beatles, or of Math... But this was still a good parody. A very School House-like bit. (And I really like the Aerosmith version of this song, just felt like throwing that tid-bit in)

Great

Like Pat wrote, you captured the choppiness of TOS to a tee. Excellent syllable matching as always. I have nothing more to "add" to my comment above (groan...)
stuart mcarthur - May 28, 2008 - Report this comment
(ABC) very clever Guy, and as syllable-matching was your intention here, you nailed it - but tell me how come, when I add by deduction, I always get numb-less sum roots - it's starting to really piss me off - lol - 555 - I also liked the way you managed to get slide rule and "It don't bloody matter" in there too
bobpiecheese - May 28, 2008 - Report this comment
(ABC4-S) Hmm...you lose marks for lack of funny, but you gain points for the brilliant title sub..that means...carry the one...ah, bugger it, have 555. Nice work, DoRitos!

ABC- Adds up to one funny parody. Loved the way you paced out the lyrics. Very well done, Guy.
Below Average Dave - May 28, 2008 - Report this comment
(ABC) Has to be the best Beatles OS ever. I think that this was funny in a subtle way. The light cracks about using an adding machine for such simple equations was at the very least creative, and I loved the spelling the words the way it was being pronounced, forwah, brilliant.

Hey Guy...I love your "tech..." parodies. Your pacing here was excellent. I can't decide if your score should be 22b or 1000101011...
