Original Song Title:

"Let it Be"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Letter B"

Parody Written by:

Merry & Pippin

The Lyrics

Ben, he blindly belts his briny bubbles
Bungled buried bumblebees
Beaky birds eat bread buns, letter B
Banned in their bower of bark nests
Beasts are blandly biting butter beans
Blinking bursar's bid's done, letter B
Letter B, letter B
Letter B, letter B
Blissful 'burbs of Brisbane, letter B

Bent blended blokey bart-ish beat boys
Bidding bins, but blurred buggy
Bear brawls bite a bouncer, letter B
Boor beau be Blaine, he bartered berries
Built a branch but balefully
Blair's got Britain's answers? Letter B

Letter B, letter B
Letter B, letter B
Bran's bare bell-y balldancer, letter B

Letter B, letter B
Letter B, letter B
Blizzard burgs beprisoned, letter B

(Balalaikas, bassoons and basses blend in)

Letter B, letter B
Letter B, letter B
Blistered broads boffed Brandon, letter B

But Bin, be biting brownies
Burr-y Bill be blighted, blimey Bree!
Buy one ball, don't borrow, letter B
By baking brew all brown and boozy
Brother Barry's blunder be
Busty boobs and big bums, letter B

Better see! Letter B
Letter B, yeah letter B
Oh, bumptious be Bonanza, letter B

Letter B, letter B
Letter B, yeah letter B
Beschnitten be a Bris bone, better be...

Sesame Road person : Whilst it doesn't surprise me that this would have been a Sesame St type song, I gotta tells ya that I am (mericifully) to old to have had too much exposure to the show! I assure you it was an original thought (inasmuchas I wasn't aware of Big Bird and his Buddies!)

AshKickass : Surprisingly, really quickly! It just clicked!

Brobdingnadian boils, breaking beautifully back before Brian Blessed bellows "Blimey! Beschnitten bris-bone?"
Spaff.com - August 24, 2004 - Report this comment
Know what? - this is EXACTLY what "Let It Be" sounds like when Paul McCartney is held underwater. (Evidently you've tried it too.) Bloody beautiful, bobbits. And the balalaikas were a nice bonus for us Beatles buffs.
Meriadoc - August 25, 2004 - Report this comment
Thank you all for your votes and comments. Hope you enjoyed the recording - it still makes me laugh. And Phil, the beschnitten "Bris" bone was an unintentional Freudian slip on my part, I am sure.... (Like I would KNOW...heh heh...) ;-D

Very clever; the "solo" in the recording had me LMAO. Great stuff.
Peregrin - August 30, 2004 - Report this comment
Thank you for listening Claude! Had I *known* when I recorded that it would be released to a wider audience, the 'solo' part you speak of probably would have ended up on the cutting room floor!

I thought Peregrin's "Letter B" ref in comment at my "Back in the USSR" parody stood on its own, Didn't realize it was a parody ref until he linked it in PM. Now I saw what he meant by last line -- I love it -- and I swear, hadn't seen this (arrived on site Jan 2006) when I wrote the "Bris bane" line in the above parody.

IIRC, Red Ant, on challenge, did a parody *without* using the letter B. Your one-track-minded servant could only pay homage to the silicone-free and appropriately-endowed in his "Let T*T Be". Glad I was pointed here. Fives all around, and let's not leave out the wonderful "Blair's got Britain's Answers" -- but how could you omit Tony's BFF, B-ush? ;-D
Peregrin - August 14, 2012 - Report this comment
Tommy T: Absolutely not a problem. It is highly improbable that with the number of parodies on this site that we are not going to sometimes get double ups.

Blair! Yes. Good example of a way to date a parody, unintentionally. The fun part of that line was the addition of the ?
Tommy Turtle - August 14, 2012 - Report this comment
Of course the ? was understood as "questioning" whether he had the answers. He and his "B"-friend (chortle, chortle, chortle) went totally "Crazy Together".
