The Lyrics

(Great & Duwaine Elf-man, the Elf-Man Brothers )

Well, I’m on a quest that keeps me fightin’.
My true name I must keep hidin’,
There’s this freaky eyeball tower.
And the Eye really wants to catch me, yeah.
Ain’t gonna let it catch the man called “Strider”.

Now I’m in love with my girl Arwen.
She’s a princess, my elvin darlin’,
And she looks just like that Liv Tyler.
So all of the elves in Rivendell,
They wish they could be the man called “Strider”.

Got an elf and a dwarf as allies.
That old wizard’s a real wise guy.
And the warrior seems kinda wired.
And we’re tryin’ to keep four hobbits safe.
It’s only eight plus me, the man called “Strider”.

Yeah, we’re the motley crew that’s got to
Get that ring into the fires of Mordor.

And I don’t really know exactly how,
But someday I’m gonna be the King of Gondor.

So I guess for now I’m just a man.
I’m the tall and scruffy man called “Strider”.

Good effort by a first timer; but then again they usually are pretty good

I know both the song and the topic, so I can appreciate this. Most people here now are too young to remember "Midnight Rider", hence the lack of reaction. There was at one time a lot of LOTR parodies done, but that's petered out
