Parody Song Title:

"Look At Me, I'm Socrates"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Part 2 of my new musical, "Ancient Grease"...more to follow.
Look at me; I'm Socrates
Father of philosophy
Concepts refined by my enquiring mind
Take heed of Socrates!

In my youth I sought out truth
Then one day, it cameforsooth!
One thing's for sure; that is all thought is pure
As long as you have proof

I don't par-tay, dateI like to debate
The nature of Love versus Sex
Tired of know-it-alls, coz their wisdom's small
Riches find the man who reflects!

Arguing will lose its sting
Without thorough reasoning
Facts don't exist (man, that gets "wise" men p***ed!)
In my philosophy

Plato, Platoprotégé!
Got this bulls*** straight awat
Others did mock: I was in for a shock
Some hemlock.for Socrates!

Brilliant idea for a theme of parodies. The title made me laugh when I came across it (and not just because of "Bill And Ted")

"Plato, Plato…protégé! Got this bulls*** straight away" replaced the first 2 lines I was going to highlight Kristof, but some very erudite humour here - and my bathroom mirror must be VERY rich (to lower the humour level a kilometre) - I eagerly await "The One That I Want" - those Greeks had an astonishing range of means of sexual expression - 555

This reminds me of Trash Truckin by Superfreak. Who is singing it? I have some ideas for who it could be, but I don't know

I am unfamiliar with ancient history, but just by singing this in my head hits a chord. 5's all round!
