"Spend Like a Lib'ral"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Spend like a Lib’ral

Debt keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Onto the future
Debt keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Onto the future

I want to spend like a Lib’ral
Like it’s free
Spend like a Lib’ral
Let the Chinese carry me
I want to spend like a Lib’ral
Constantly
There ought to be a revolution

Starve the babies
Who won't have enough to eat
Burden children
With a debt they cannot meet
Housing people will mean
Livin' on the street
Oh, oh, that’s the conclusion

I want to spend like a Lib’ral
Like it’s free
Spend like a Lib’ral
Let the Chinese carry me
I want to spend like a Lib’ral
Constantly
There ought to be a revolution

Debt keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Onto the future
Debt keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Onto the future
Debt keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Onto the future
Debt keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Onto the future

I want to spend like a Lib’ral
Like it’s free
Spend like a Lib’ral
Let the Chinese carry me
I want to spend like a Lib’ral
Constantly
There ought to be a revolution

Debt keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Onto the future
Debt keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Onto the future

So much truth. Well written parody. We're overdue for a revolution in this country but who knows what the spark will be. I have a theory that every revolution needs a revolutionary anthem. Someone on this site should be up to the challenge.

For once, there is a well-written, non-vitriolic, race-neutral conservative parody mentioning liberals here on AmIRight. Excellent job here, Monsieur Henri, and I'm with Patrick on this government needing a revolution. A moderate or even conservative would be good, or even a Democrat like John Kerry or Al Gore who knows their stuff and doesn't verge on socialist. 5s.

We already HAD the revolution, in 2008, because the American people finally were willing to admit the truth: Conservatism doesn't work. The last two liberal Presidents were Lyndon Johnson, who had the Great Society and the Vietnam War and STILL balanced his last budget; and Bill Clinton, who did the exact same thing, spent our way out of a recession caused by a fool named George Bush, and he balanced the budget, too. Barack Obama is doing the same. It has worked before, and it is working again. Besides, where was all your right-wing whining about debt when it was Reagan and the Bushes doing it? You people have about as much credibility as the Mets' pitching staff does.
