The Lyrics

As a webmaster, it's always been width x height for images, so this took a little while getting used to.
You break ground, and you buy some wood.
Break out the table saw, so you can cut it good.
Insulation, a trip away,
So your new house, it won’t ever sway.

Well there’s a rule in the master’s hand,
Best damn carpenter, in the land,
And if your first floor isn’t built on sand, honey
Measure Height and Width,
Measure Height and Width,
Measure Height and Width.

Don’t be hungry, don’t be mad,
If the framework, is just off a tad.
There’s a level, right next to you,
And it’s just off by, an inch or two.

Well there’s a rule in the master’s hand,
Best damn carpenter, in the land,
And if your first floor isn’t built on sand, honey
Measure Height and Width,
Measure Height and Width,
Measure Height and Width.
BBBBBBBa Bang,
BBBBBBBa Bang,
BBBBBBBa Bang,
Hammer it, hammer it.

B-3 Tire Pump Solo

Coin your mansion, “the party place”,
She’s your home, and you’ve got space.
Get it some carpet, pay the price,
Ain’t gonna seed, your new lawn twice.

Well there’s a rule in the master’s hand,
Best damn carpenter, in the land,
And if your first floor isn’t built on sand, honey
Measure Height and Width,
Measure Height and Width,
Measure Height and Width.
BBBBBBBa Bang,
BBBBBBBa Bang,
BBBBBBBa Bang,
Hammer it, hammer it.

I don't know about the height, but if Stephen Stills is measuring width, it must mean David Crosby has arrived.

Brilliant line Michael! I love that old footage from '69 when they were all quite skinny....somehow Graham and Neil never got fat...
