Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

house came down...she's confused
and she was dismembered...cut neatly in two
excitation...on this day
because this lady...had just passed away

she had a nose..only mom could love
and her monkeys cried..sure enough
and dorothy might be...who the ones most love
but i...love the wicked witch
love the wicked witch...love the wicked witch
love the wicked witch...love the wicked witch

she was angry..she was bad
she laid there, dying..lost those red shoes, she had
twas a girl...who swiped those shoes
find myself hating...the things that she do

she had a nose..only mom could love
and her monkeys cried..sure enough
and dorothy might be...who the ones most love
but i...love the wicked witch
love the wicked witch...love the wicked witch
love the wicked witch...love the wicked witch

i feel heartache...i feel no joy
damn that girl..and her evil ploy
house flying weather...paid the price
see her body bleed..now, she's cold as ice

she had a nose..only mom could love
and her monkeys cried..sure enough
and dorothy might be...who the ones most love
but i...love the wicked witch
love the wicked witch...love the wicked witch
love the wicked witch...love the wicked witch

the best two wicked witches were this one and the one from Snow White, who gave me nightmares as a kid - but you're right, go villains! - 555

Margaret Hamilton played the Wicked Witch of the West in "The Wizard of Oz," but some of us only remember her as the old lady from the Maxwell House commercials. And Idina Menzel played her in the Broadway musical "Wicked"... but be careful, 'cause her husband really Diggs her. (She and Taye met when they were in the original production of "Rent," and they'll be in the film version opening later this year.) The irony of her "Wicked" role? In her 5th grade play, she played Dorothy.

Of course, "Nessa" - the WW of the East, was the "tragically beautiful" witch killed by the house. Elphaba, the WW of the West was killed by water (except for those of us who know better). Elphaba got her name in "Wicked" and it was a tribute to the author of the original series - L. Frank Baum. And one further bit of "Wicked - the Musical" trivia. Steven Schwartz paid tribute to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" in the "Unlimited" recurring motif. Believe it or not, the first seven notes of "Unlimited" are also the first seven notes of "Rainbow" (try it - it works). You can use up to seven notes of a song without royalities. btw, 555 on this excellent parody.
