The Lyrics

the Oreo song
Well I know you're gonna eat me tonight
I'm just a little patch of sugar that's white
Peel off the top part and save me for last
And I'm hoping you won't be gulping too fast

Cookie to the left of me!
Cookie to the right!
here I am, stuck in the middle, white goo

Yes I'm stuck in the middle white goo
In between the chocolate cookies you'll chew
And you know I've got a wonderful taste
Pretty soon yeah I'm all over your face

Cookie to the left of me!
Cookie to the right!
here I am, stuck in the middle, white goo

Well you started just to nibble
Then you turned into a gobbling man
And your milk, it sits there waiting
Then you pick me up and I say please, please..

You're trying to pull the cookies apart
And they crumble cause I'm set in hard
Is it cool to eat it off of the floor
I see that you can't take it any more

Cookie to the left of me!
Cookie to the right!
Here I am, stuck in the middle, white goo

Well you started just to nibble
Then you turned into a gobbling man
And your milk, it sits there waiting
Then you pick me up and I say please, please

Well I know you're gonna eat me tonight
I'm just a little patch of sugar that's white
Peel off the top part and savor me last
And I'm hoping you won't be gulping too fast

Cookie to the left of me!
Cookie to the right!
Here I am, stuck in the middle, white goo

Stuck in the middle, white goo
Yes I'm stuck in the middle, white goo

I gave you 555 for the concept alone....

Thanks, Laurence-I was driving yesterday and noticed lots of policemen parked in strategic spots, so I thought of the original song, feeling kind of surrounded, you know--then somehow an oreo cookie came into my mind; this is a rather bizarre but true story of how one parody originated.

See also Weird Al's "White Stuff" (to New Kids On The Block's "Right Stuff"). Just as good, puts a smile on my face (just like an Oreo!)555..

If you've seen "Reservoir Dogs" you might think of this song when you see a policeman (don't know where the cookies come in though). Anyway, good stuf

Royce, when I saw the title I thought, "Oh no, not Royce, too". But it wasn't what I thought. You did a real sweet job here, 5's and some milk to wash them down. Alvin - no cookies for you for thinking like that (guess I don't get any, either).

Paul--you can't always judge a parody by its title...

I guess for some of us, this parody is outstanding on more than one level! Well done, Royce, 5s!

Great stuff Royce! Though, it is still not clear to me whether it was Billy Oreo or Mikey Oreo about which you were talking!
Cookie Monster - April 15, 2004 - Report this comment

Uh oh! Was I the only one reading all sorts of Freudian messages into this one? :-O

Merry--just a simple song about a cookie, but it can be enjoyed any way a person wants, like an Oreo?

Don't worry, meriadoc. I kinda thought that the title was about... something else. 555

Claude, I haven't seen "reservoir dogs" (sounds exciting?) but I told the little story about how I wrote this parody, which I seldom do; cause enquiring minds like yours don't give a @@@ I mean, wanna know; by the way, you have inspired yet another parody, and it's about buns. It may be posted tomorrow if there is an update. Cheers

When I gave this a quick scan and saw references to "white goo... all over your face" I thought... well, you know... Guess I wasn't alone, so I don't feel (quite so) bad...

Yikes -- just noticed that I broke the perfect 5-5-5 you had going -- is that bad form? Sorry...
