"Go Sell It On The Fountain"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

[Chorus:]
Go, sell it on the fountain,
over the splash and everywhere.
Go, sell it on the fountain
to make more money for me.

While postcards kept their passports
o'er glowing lamp by night,
behond, throughout the buisness
There find a lotta gold.
[chorus]

The shepards feared and trembled
when lo, above the water
yelled out the angery man
that hailed our ecconomy collapse!
[chorus]

Down in a washed out buisness
the humble gold was cleaned,
and they gave us money
that let our ecconomy go.
[chorus]

The rhyme scheme is off (assuming this is the same song as the Christmas carol) and what the HELL is this song about?! I know it references the economy, but I don't see a clear message.
