The Lyrics

So making fun of old people used to be sort of a specialty of mine, back in the day. But I realized my last two parodies were me BEING A GRUMPY OLD BASTARD, complaining about all those idiotic young hooligans. So yes, as the prophets foretold, it has happened. I guess this is me embracing it. Oh, and I skipped the last verse. Because I'm old and feeble-minded.
I didn’t know whose kids you were
When you breached my property
I yelled “GET LOST YOU A-HOLES!”
You flipped the bird to me

Breezing in like you owned the place
To retrieve things mostly spherical
I really can’t stress this enough
I think you might need a miracle

I took all those items of yours
That in the beginning took me by surprise
Your soccer balls, that cat of y’all’s
I used for sniper exercise

Belligerent hoodlums with stupid hair
Who tried to steal my apricots
You think that you’re cool dudes with no rules
But you’re punk-ass little snots

You’re in my yard, you’re on my lawn
You’re on my grass; I want you gone
We may be neighbors, but we ain’t friends
Get off my lawn

My love for guns is immeasurable,
And my guard dogs -- are immense
Really not a people person though,
So I’ve electrified my fence

Got some as-tilbes -- some lilac trees
Got some peonies -- and some shrubs
Also I’m a great- fan of those Grenade-
Launcher-of-the-Month-type clubs

You’re in my yard, you’re on my grass
Get off my lawn or I'll kick your ass
We may be neighbors, but we ain’t friends
Get off my grass
Also, I like to imagine a geriatric Rod Stewart kicking some kid's soccer ball right into the back of a passing garbage truck. Saw him a couple weeks ago; pleasantly surprised it was a GREAT show.

Would make a nice soundtrack to that Clint Eastwood movie (the title eludes me right now, possible early onset Alzheimers).

No Peter, the title of the movie was not "Early Onset Alzheimer's", it was "Gran Torino."
