The Lyrics

I'm at Soundclick
**Spoken Intro**
When we'd walk up and hit the mall
We'd see chics at Spencers
and then at Hot Topic taking what they could
If pain's what they envision--must they take what it is they hid
Stealing "Hello Kitty" and never paying for black paint for eye lids

Out buying music from ITunes-acting like life bites
their sad and most contradictive lives
Dark clothes bind them as they cut themselves with knifes

**End Spoken**

We don't need no Science Fiction
Zombie like our cries get old
We hate the light and poppy hits too
Mister, we steal all we own

Hey! Mister! but we aren't broke though!
All in all life's just another chore-so we stall
All in all we like to b*tch and complain-that's all

We don't follow any nation
and we despise all crowd control
Lady Gaga and other pop tunes
We leave all that stuff alone

Hey! Mister! Please put Manson on!
All in all emo's are just more chicks in the mall
They Think they're not, but they still walk in corp'rate halls

They just love self mutilation

The japanese in animation was kind of left field because that's a different class of characters all together... Anime nerds aren't Emo chicks! Not even close Dave! Good parody though...

Clever lyrics!

I don't know, Matthias, in my experience the fields of Emo and Anime Nerd tend to overlap fairly frequently, especially as far as chicks are concerned. Either way, it's a fantastic parody.

I enjoyed it, you lampooned lots of different groups in a limited lyrical space. Nice job!

Just as good as the OS, maybe better. As long as David Gilmour still does the guitar solo.

I agree what I said last year. You did a lot with a short song.

Not at all sure where those last two lines come from, but this was great. It's trickier to pace than it looks.

(Artistry) You know "Emo Girls at the Mall" would be a good title for your next album. I like the way the spoken intro (observing the girls) ties in with the lyrics (sung by the girls).

(Aritstry) Short, but sweet and funny as heck. You stole yourself some 555's.

(Artistry) I was a little confused as to what this parody was about, but then that whole "clique" stuff probably isn't as prevalent in Australia as it is in America. I say probably because I don't get out enough to verify my claim. Great pacing, but the topic matter completely flew over my head.
