Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Inspired by this story about how 17 under-age girls at the same school in Massachusetts became pregnant at the same time.

Just in case the slang term is not in common usage elsewhere, "up the duff" means "pregnant".
They won't use no contraception
They don't use no birth control
There's hanky-panky in the classroom
Scary how them kids today have grown
What? Pregnant??? Damn, those kids have grown

Life get tough when there's another kid up the duff

[Children]
We're all into fornication
We don't use no birth control
No pills or condoms in the classroom
We're all hoping tummy bulge has grown
Yes! Pregnant! Tummy bulge has grown

We're all chuffed that there's another kid up the duff
Not enough that there's another kid up the duff

[Spoken]
"Uh oh... late again, uh oh, late again"
"If you don't fornicate, you won't have your kiddies! How will you have any kiddies if you don't fornicate?"
"Hey you! Behind the bike sheds! Stand still, Laddie!

Great stuff Phil. I looked at that story and thought there had to be a parody in it, but I was shooting blanks - which doesn't fit the story at all!

Well, you learn new slang every day.

Became pregnant at the same time? Exactly the same time? How do they know? And who's the lucky guy?

McK - Well, I'm not sure they *became* pregnant all at exactly the same time, but they were pregnant all at the same time... some ****ing coincidence...

Pippin - you could always do "Another one's up the duff" to a possibly recognizable Queen number...

popping with fun

Philbo - The news on this story has been wall to wall on Fox News Network here for some time now. Glouster, Mass. was made known by the movie with George Clooney in "The Perfect Storm". Glouster is also a logo for a major frozen fish enterprise in the US. I like that "Up the duff" term. Only the Brits could come up with that line. I may be wrong but I have unterstood that the term "Knocked Up" in Aussie-land means to be woken up from sleep. Perhaps Stu or Pip could elaborate on this. Most of these girls according to the news outlets were impregnated by men over 21 years of age. So 5 will get you 20 or in your case 5 will get you the highest vote. Fine write Phil to a "Pink Floyd" classic.

Now that's what I call planning, in the future they don't have to organize a school reunion thingy, they'll just meet up on the day their own kids start and end every school year...

BTW - Is it just me or did you squeeze one word too much into the fourth line of each verse?
Agrimorfee - June 27, 2008 - Report this comment
You popped out another clever one, Phil.

Hi, Interesting idea Phil - I will give some thought. Guy: I would have happily used "duff" (anytime I could, in fact, heh heh) but yes, it is a term that I would definitely attribute to my country's British influence/inheritance.

"Knocked up" means pregnant to me. I have never heard it used to indicate a state of sleep! "Banged up" also means pregnant, although I gather elsewhere it can signify being in jail. I used to laugh because there was a show on TV entitled "Banged up abroad". It was about the danger of traveling to countries with different cultures, but to me, the dangers sounded entirely different :)

Well.......whatever. I know one reason is because they do it to get on welfare - that's how they make their living.

The topic of babies thinking it's fun to have babies is not really funny, but somebody needed to spoof it. Good job of keeping the editiorializing subtle, Phil.
