The Lyrics

The sixth and (presumably) final part of a whole-album parody of The Dark Side of the Moon. All of the parts are linked from the bottom of this list.
THE NORTH SIDE OF THE POLE (tNSotP)

6.
ALL THAT AND A BAG OF PISTACHIOS
(To "Eclipse")

All that you drive
For all freaking day
For all that you shop
Oh, you'll pay

And all that you gain
From all that you eat
All the dead weight's
All you keep

And all that you drink
'Cause all of that snow
Is all that you scrape,
Dig, shovel, and blow

And all you'll exchange
Or else you'll return
'Cause all that you've spent
Is all that you earn

And all that you wreck
In every hall you deck
From all that you fight
With every blinkin' light

It's all you could charge
But all that is left
Is all the debris
And everything under the
Tree's been consumed
And you'll pay off the bills until Juuuune!

[Santa:]
"There is no North Side of the Pole, really.
Technically, from here, it's all south."

I refuse to comment on this until the album comes out. (Think that will work?)

Not to pick nits, but there is a north side of the pole... the other pole, that is. ;) You've proven, once again, that you don't do mediocre -- and it's giving me a complex, so cut it out. (Just kidding!)

Alvin: You win the prize for being the first one to slog through all six chapters. I'll send you the CD if/when there ever is one.

Claude: Slacker.

Melhi: Got me there. Sigh. DAMN that South Pole and all its pesky little penguins.

Jackie: And YOU win the prize for being the first one (read: only one) to call all six chapters "awesome!" So I will also send you the CD if/when there is one. (Just don't hold your breath.)

Thanx again, Aggro. I was hoping you'd approve.

It took me so long to find the time to read this while synching it to the album, but it was well worth the wait. I sure hope your Christmas was nothing like your album parody! 5-5-5!

Thanx, Trademarked One. It's all autobiographical. Especially the eating part.

Great ending to the album Spaff, one question which you (or Agrimorfee) might be able to answer: Do/did Brain Damage and Eclipse get played back-to-back on the radio often? I seem to recall they did and there is very little "break" between the two on the album.

GREAT job on this album.. 5's

Belated thanx, Patagio!

Ant in Chains: In case you're still interested, yes, like many other tracks on DSOTM, "Brain Damage" segues into "Eclipse," so it's not uncommon for classic rock stations to play them together.

Just a note to add my praise to this entire project, and to let you know that a friend of mine is hard at work recording the entire album at this moment. We will send a copy to Spaff when done, with much gratitude for the inspiration and pleasure that this and all your other works have brought us. Don't be surprised if he includes a copy of his own best material along with it, as he is very eager to get the opinion of one he respects so very much.

Adam: Holy freaking crap - your friend is recording the whole album?! He must be having a momentary lapse of reason. I'm stunned and honored. Please keep me posted.
