The Lyrics

recently the Yank's relesed Arron Boone due to a knee injury he recieved on the off season...although this song was origionally written as a differint purpose, now it serves as a kinda protest song to the Yanks for giving up Boone, depicting the events of game seven of teh Yanks Redsox series in the playoffs...enjoy...
First thing I remember, sox were winning yet again
even though their lead was just by two
Giambi hit a monst'ress ball
broke his bat right into four
then Clemens was replaced with someone new
it was late in the evening
Yanks are losing just by two

next thing I remember
Nixon knocked us off our feet
hit was alright
fan's made noise
won't lose yeah
Messina wasn't good to use
since he gave up two
so Wells came in
but let one off to Ortiz
it was late in the evening
seems like the Yanks are gonna lose yeah

the seventh came up, Yankees charged
Pedro lost it, took it hard
Jeter, Williams, even Matsu-aaaaaaa
Pedro left it way too soon
Pasada saved us from sure doom
the ninth had come and went, the Yanks began to play
it was late in the evening
Pedro gave those runs away

into extra innings
Aaron came up past the ninth
said I'm gonna hit that ball no matter what I do
wonder what we trade Zeile for
Boone knocked the hell out of that ball
eleventh inning home run
the Red Sox are screwed
and it was late in the evening
We owe our win mostly to Boone
