Song Parodies -> "Bourne To Be Alive"

Original Song Title:

"Born to Be Alive"

Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Bourne To Be Alive"

Parody Written by:

Dylan Baranski

The Lyrics

On Sunday, I saw The Bourne Ultimatum, the latest movie in the Jason Bourne series, and it was an egregiously great movie! So, I got the idea to write a Born to Be Alive parody about Jason Bourne & his quest to find out who he really is, but without giving away any major plot points of the movies. Also, I realize that this is a popular song (having made over $25 million dollars worldwide), but in case people don't know it, click here. Anyways, as usual, enjoy the parroty.
Jason’s Bourne to be…alive! (x2)

Bourne,
Bourne to be alive.
(Bourne to be alive)

Yes he was Bourne,
Bourne,
Bourne.
(Bourne to be alive)

This guy can’t remember how he
Got to where he’s now or who he is,
Is,
Is.

And now he’s got a bunch of passports,
But which one of these is really his,
His,
His?

Yes he was Bourne,
Bourne,
Bourne to be alive.
(Bourne to be alive)

Yes he was Bourne,
Bourne,
Bourne.
(Bourne to be alive)

It’s good to be alive,
To be alive,
To be alive!

It’s good to be alive,
To be alive,
To be alive!

IT’S GOOD TO BE ALIVE!

Almost everyone he meets wants to
Kill him, so he’s in such a bind,
Bind,
Bind.

Black ops & amnesia
And all weird stuff’s what occupies his mind,
Mind,
Mind.

Yes he was Bourne,
Bourne,
Bourne to be alive.
(Bourne to be alive)

Yes he was Bourne,
Bourne,
Bourne.
(Bourne to be alive)

Yes he was Bourne,
Bourne,
Bourne to be alive.
(Bourne to be alive)

Yes he was Bourne,
Bourne,
Bourne.
(Bourne to be alive)

Yes he was Bourne,
Bourne,
Bourne to be alive.
(Bourne to be alive)

Yes he was Bourne,
Bourne,
Bourne.

[guitar riff]

(Bourne to be alive)

Bourne,
Bourne to be alive.
(Bourne to be alive)

Yes he was Bourne,
Bourne,
Bourne.

[guitar riff]

(Bourne to be alive)

Bourne,
Bourne to be alive.
(Bourne to be alive)…

I think people forget how repetitive this song really is. Anyway, good job, and I love the Bourne series too... :)

In full nostalgia mode, I put the original on the mp3 player in my car, but I always get sick of it before the end. Yours is more interesting and very original (there's a dilemma- can a parody be original??). I like it that you incorporated his story....
