The Lyrics

A tip 'o the hat to Rick Duncan for his parody from a couple of days
ago, "Cruel to Be Kine." That parody got me thinking about my
own "special" approach to this Nick Lowe classic.
Oh, I can't take another backache
But you're twisting my neck
And I feel it crack now
You say the pain it will subside
But that don't coincide
With the things that I feel
When I ask you to be nice

You say you gotta be
Cruel to my spine, this is your pleasure
Cruel to my spine, a chiropractic design
Cruel to my spine, will help me later
Why do you have, have to be cruel to my spine?

Well I do my best but I can't stand, dear
'Cause my stiff vertebrae, just get in the way
You press my back and cause me to frown
You turn my neck all around
Again and again
And when I ask you to explain

You say you gotta be
Cruel to my spine, this is your pleasure
Cruel to my spine, a chiropractic design
Cruel to my spine, will help me later
Why do you have, have to be cruel to my spine?

Now I have made a date but must I subluxate
You adjust and I cry and I wanna know why
I'm bent and stiff and can't turn around
And now you crack my back down
Again and again
And when I ask you to explain

You say you gotta be
Cruel to my spine, this is your pleasure
Cruel to my spine, it's a fine chiropractic design
Cruel to my spine, will help me later
Why do you have, have to be cruel to my spine?

Thanks Mason. I try to give credit when someone inspires me. I liked it, besides.
