The Lyrics

There's a lady who's sure she can save a few pounds
by buying a diet soda.
When she gets there she knows, if the restraunts are all closed
With a word she can get what she ordered.
Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a diet soda.

There's a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure
That the meal comes with extra large french fries
On a tree by the restraunt there's a songbird who sings,
Sometimes all of our thoughts have no value.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it makes me wonder.

There's a feeling I get when I utilize my head
And my spirit is crying to tell her.
In my thoughts I have seen lots of donughnut rings
All filled with large amounts of sugar.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.

And it's whispered that soon if we all call the tune
Then the pepper will give us some season.
And a new day will dawn for those who stand long
And we'll point at these people with laughter.

If there's a hair in your taco, don't be alarmed now,
It's just a small heap of living bacteria.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on.
And it makes me wonder.

Your head is humming and it won't go, in case you don't know,
The piper's calling you to join him,
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow, and did you know
Your soda lies on the whispering wind.

And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul
There walks a lady we all know
looks big around and hates to show
How everything still turns to fat.
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last.
I love to rock and that is all
Just to rock and maybe roll.

Why's she buying fast food in the first place?

Cant anyone even tell me if this stinks? Now that I think about it I'm sure it does.

I liked it! Some very good lines "And as we wind on down the road Our shadows taller than our soul " for example, that have an amazing concept behind them.. others, like the hair in the taco being a heap of living bacteria seemed a bit akward...I know... many of mine suffer similarly... 4,5,5.

Good effort up until "...living bacteria.", then there isn't much change in lyrics from the original. "she's buying a diet soda" doesn't scan quite right to "she's buying a stairway to heaven"; changing "diet" to "dietous" (make up words if you have to!) or "sugar-free" would have been better, but perhaps still a bit awkward. 4s.

TJC- Our shadows taller than our soul was part of the original song. If you think about it you would know that shadows are casted by our body aka flesh.
