The Lyrics
I never paid close attention to the lyrics of "Black Dog" before this; just assumed it was ten couplets of rock gibberish. But there's an actual theme running in the song. Plant is suckered by a sexy groupie who proceeds to cause him trouble. In the last stanza he's a chastened man. So, I'll follow that plot here
