| Original Song Title: | "Carry On Wayward Son" |
| Original Performer: | Kansas |
| Parody Song Title: | "Carry On President" |
| Parody Written by: | Kit Kat |
{Refrain}
Hurry on my president
There'll be peace when you are gone
Lay your empty head to rest
Don't you speak no more
Once you chose to be the next Bush in office
Just to lie about Iraq having rockets
You were gaining our good favor
But you said too much
If your ears could hear you'd know we aren't clapping
If your brain could think you'd know why we're laughing
You hear the voices of your country
You can hear them say
{Refrain}
Playing pretend as a man who's a genius
Your charade will haunt you 'til you're a senior
And if you claim to be a wise man, well
It surely means that you are slow
On a normal day of having the word blues
There's no doubt it's hooked on phonics that you use
You're learning words but it's confusing
Then you hear the voices say
{Refrain}
Carry on, we will always remember
Carry on, all your many word blunders
Now that you've worked on your phonics
Surely school waits for you
Hurry on my president
There'll be peace when you are gone
Lay your empty head to rest
Don't you speak no more
Once you chose to be the next Bush in office
Just to lie about Iraq having rockets
You were gaining our good favor
But you said too much
If your ears could hear you'd know we aren't clapping
If your brain could think you'd know why we're laughing
You hear the voices of your country
You can hear them say
{Refrain}
Playing pretend as a man who's a genius
Your charade will haunt you 'til you're a senior
And if you claim to be a wise man, well
It surely means that you are slow
On a normal day of having the word blues
There's no doubt it's hooked on phonics that you use
You're learning words but it's confusing
Then you hear the voices say
{Refrain}
Carry on, we will always remember
Carry on, all your many word blunders
Now that you've worked on your phonics
Surely school waits for you

Do you read the news? A scientist who was making the bomb for Sadaam is speaking out now, talking about how the bomb making was halted only long enough for Sadaam to invade Kuwait....then he went back to his dirty deed, and then Bush's boot stepped on him.
Iraq having rockets was a lie? Do Scud missiles count?
I liked this song better when I did it as "Kerry Beat That Wayward Son."
I read the news, and didn't see that. I would think if someone came out and said that, AND it could be proven/corraborated, it would be big news. Heck, if I were the Bush administration, I'd jump all over that. I mean, the chance to justify 50,000+ Iraqi civilian deaths, over 1000 US soldier deaths and hundreds of billions of dollars? Yet the only thing I see on the news is that the Bush administration says there is no evidence of WMDs...but it doesn't matter, because retroactively, the war is about liberating Iraq, not protecting Americans. Blind faith must be a wonderful thing.
OMG whoever wrote this song is a dumbass who doesn't know shit about polotics...Kerry was the one who lied and cheated in the election. Bush is doing the best he can so just live with it.
