I woke up Monday morning, from head to toe I was feeling really lousy
It was worse than a hangover, I felt like I'd been boxing Ronda Rousey
I fumbled 'cross my desk with my computer, couldn't even find the mousie!
So I had a cup of coffee, hoping it would help me start the day....

Halfway between two lanes, a women brushed her hair while she was texting,
And the Mexican in front of me, let's just say his lane use was perplexing.
And further down the road, two lanes were blocked for construction by the Westin,
It would be faster if I jogged to work, I need the exercise anyway.

The cat and baby both are crying, but that is better than the sound
Of the snarled city traffic. Yes, Monday morning makes me frown.

I got to work 10 minutes late, and my supervisor started screaming.
My desk was piled with new reports; my secretary, she sure wasn't beaming.
The Chinese guy from down the hall said something, but I couldn't catch the meaning,
While the laptop on my desk displayed the disappearing memes of yesterday.
