We wear the black for anonymity
we keep the secrets men weren't meant to see
we take care of the aliens who are stranded here on Earth
from distant stars - or who were here from birth

We wear it for the gadgets that we use
Strange new technology to defuse
We keep those things from wrong hands, from punks and felonies
They're all too dangerous for you and me -

We wear the black 'cause diplomats are we
We keep the peace for entire galaxy
We're interstellar UN and we try to prevent wars
whether Daleks or the Emperors or Borgs -

We wear it for those peaceful aliens
Hardworking, honest earthly denizens
who came on this planet for safe refugee
Don't you think they could be just like you or me?

We wear it 'cause we no more have a past
Our suits are those which meant to be our last
And if you ever meet us and get to see our eyes
I'm sorry - but we'll have to neuralyze -
