Parody Song Title:

"George and Saddam"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Little ditty about George and Saddam
Two meg'lomaniacs fightin' for the same land
Georgie gonna knock Saddam off his throne
Rest of the world say, Hey George, you're on your own

Fightin' in houses, in the sand and in the trees
Georgie's using shock and awe, bring Saddam to his knees
Saddam says he's winning, and nobody believes
"Leave me alone to gas those Kurds as I please"

And Georgie say
Oh yeah war goes on
Long after the shock of bombing is gone
Oh yeay say war goes on
Long after the swift invasion has gone, they fight on

Georgie's held up, stops his force for a moment
Scratches his head and sends B52's in
Well you know Saddam, we oughta nuke this city
Saddam says "Georgie, you ain't hittin nuth-in"

And Georgie say
Oh yeah war goes on
Long after the shock of bombing is gone
Oh yeay say war goes on
Long after the swift invasion has gone, they fight on

And in Iraq
Tanks will roll
Missiles miss, and they
Take their toll
Hold on to Baghdad as long as you can
Invasion comin real soon
It's all part of the plan

Little ditty about George and Saddam
Two maniacs doing the best they can

I'll say this about the 1-bandit: he gets in ****ing fast... someone ought to explain to him what it means to have a life, rather than waiting all day for new parodies to be published, just so he can get in with the first votes of the day...

If it helps at all Phil, I'm giving you 5's. This one was great ! (and you finally parodied a song I actually _know_! ) :-D

Straight 5's, Philbo. Very nice work, though classifying Dubya in the same class of "maniac" as Saddam is kinda loopy, in my humble opinion :-P Keep it up! :-)

Hey, Merry - surely there's got to be a few in the list you've come across before ;-) But thanks for the votes - I thought it was OK, myself (written a couple of days ago in the departure lounge at Belfast International Airport, as was the Denis/fnaar parody and one other that I've not quite finished yet)

TVM, Rice - though personally, I think GWB's the more dangerous of the two: after all, he's the one with the nukes and the power.

Merry, just a thought - I've done another parody to this tune, 'bout a couple of friends of yours: Frodo and Sam... have you seen that one?
Meriadoc - April 11, 2003 - Report this comment
Philbo, I do believe I saw I saw it and voted on it sometime back, but I guess I did not leave a comment. Now excuse me as I must go have a word with Peregrin on Pippin's choice of _pronouns_.....

Drewster - I reckon this one got 1s from the Dubya fan club... "if it makes fun of Bush, then it just ain't funny" sort of thing. Do I care? Of course I do: I like people to laugh at my parodies, no matter how long ago I wrote them. And thanks, too, mac and Robert

The original was released in the eighties not the seventies. But I liked it anyways. 5, 5, 5.
