The Lyrics

The German contribution to the postwar world in both arms and military means of fighting cannot be underestimated. Even the civilian spinoffs range in the thousands.and many wespons remain classified and compartmentalized. I refer not merely to the Vergeltungswaffen of V-1 and V-2 but to all German secret weapons spanning 1939-1945 and all associated projects built in the US, USSR, and Europe postwar and their derived weapon progressions. 70 years later and some German aerospace tech and nuclear research is still closely guarded with classifications running from 2020-2045 by the USAF, US Govt, and AEC.
Wunderwaffen, Wunderwaffen
All the best of World War II,
on the endless Intel lists

Rocket and jet might,
Sub and armor sights,
Helos and disc craft that flew

Wunderwaffen, Wunderwaffen
More than V-1 and V-2,
so many categories to choose

From practical to odd,
Weapons of the Gods,
Pandora's box, the lid came loose

Wunderwaffen
Survived His blunders, Wunderwaffen
All His hopes were pinned on you,
and Himmler's magik thus approved

Liquid Air Bomb test,
Raven (doomsday) drill confessed,
Deep in the mines, the slaves did toil

Wunderwaffen, Wunderwaffen
In the bunkers, Wunderwaffen

For the Allies left to plunder
Wunderwaffen...

His refers to The Fuhrer Adolf Hitler and NOT God!

Local PBS station has been running a weekly series on Nazi weapons. Amazing underground construction projects built by slave labor, many of which are still standing. But who ever thought it was a good idea to have precision weapons, such as the V-1 and V-2 rockets assembled by starving men working under the shadow of the gallows? That's why so many of the wonder missiles broke apart in flight. Just finished reading about "Operation Paperclip" to bring German scientists to United States after the war. Remember the line from "Doctor Strangelove" when the head of a US weapons program, speaking of the Soviets, said "Our Germans can beat their Germans".
