ma goose tales are lovely
and aesop's tales are fun
really hard to beat that ol' walt disney
he's a tale tellin' son of a gun
but i kid them some...with jokes and puns
every story that i come across
and i piece parodies all together at night
but on certain ones i'm at a loss...just because

well, i've written 'bout a cricket and a wooden boy
and i've written bout ol' simon, dim
bambi jokes i've employed...lots of fables destroyed
and i've worn poor snow white thin
i've written 'bout the pumpkins peter piper eats
and i've twisted cinderella facts
took on the speedy bunny and his tortoise buddy
but some stories never get the ax
i just don't have the knack, jack...doncha know

ribbed alice for eatin' those mushrooms
and i've taken on little bo peep
yeah, even dumbo's been done
also br'er fox and his buddies
have been ridiculed quite complete
yeah, most fairy tales i've truly wasted
and i'm sure i'll write a couple more
but you'd better believe i shy away from certain stories
because i'm sure i'd do 'em poor
