We've spent too much Time in a battle
With war that should not have been fought
And I'm sure that sometime
In the future, defenders will find
The hard lesson it taught

Sure Saddam Hussein was a tyrant
And without him the world's better off
But to use such retort
Shows an empty support
A listener's reason to scoff

No doubt history will claim, this war was a crime
Most likely the greatest mistake
Of the century..
If there is no nuclear quake
And just one soul still left to make
The entry..

If Cheney and Bush had been wiser
Not thinking as war mongers do
A diff'rent direction
Had been their selection
This would be a world less askew

Right now it would seem our time's running out
Humanity falling apart
All around us..
Too late for any backward move
And if we did what would it prove?
Hell's found us..
