Song Parodies -> The Batmobile
| Original Song Title: | "At Seventeen" |
| Original Performer: | Janis Ian |
| Parody Song Title: | "The Batmobile" |
| Parody Written by: | Merry & Pippin |
This parody refers to the 60s television series of Batman with Adam West, rather than the more modern movie version.... ;-) Robin tells all...
I'd learned to drive the Batmobile
When Bruce Wayne let me take the wheel
An old jalop' with sixties fin style
This point was mentioned at the trial
Behind the mask so no one knew
Boy Wonder now parades the truth
Wayne's bent was one more dude-i-ful
The Batmobile's a kissing booth
Exposed his 'cowl' at the boat races
Ravaged me in public places
While Harriet remained at home
Dick Grayson fed the dog a bone
Crusader said "I fancy thee"
I soon found out, to what degree
He liked to cop a feel, in Batmobile
A purple-suited tubby clown
Whose games I only could denounce
Said - "Robin see my buns, observe"
I'd rather give his ass the swerve
That rich philanthropist, it seemed
Ran in Gotham's seedy scene
With arch-enemies for company
Last year he'd started bumpin' me
Gotham, it is a town of shame
Wayne Foundation's such a pain
Commish'ner Gordon's bi you see
And Chief O'Hara winks at me
Wayne's last outrageous caped taboo
With gaming debts for payment due
Loaned me to Man of Steel, in Batmobile
( Musical interlude: *biff!* *plow!* *boff!* *grunt!* )
The Caped Crusader's lumbar pain
Impaired his little Batcave game
The Penguin, he would be appalled
Catwoman would not be enthralled
It was then it dawned on me today
I realized to my dismay
That as I drowned in love's debris
That's why I got my board for free
For the Batpole game, I do not care
Such funny biz goes on down there
When Alfred answers the Batphone
Time to prepare my slide trombone
That butler calls me "Master Dick"
I think those two are really sick
Got bugger-all raw deal, in Batmobile
When Bruce Wayne let me take the wheel
An old jalop' with sixties fin style
This point was mentioned at the trial
Behind the mask so no one knew
Boy Wonder now parades the truth

Sounds like at least one of these two has become the "raped crusader". Extremely well executed parody. Well done you two.
Heh heh heh so who's polishing the Bat-pole now, eh? 5's
simply elegant....nice job
Same bat time...same bat channel....same 5-5-5
Heehee ! BRILLIANT ! I'll never be able to watch those classic re-runs in the same way again......although I did have my suspicions.... Love the musical interlude too ! Nice touch !
LOL! *WAHM!*-------------- *ZAP*--------------------* EXELLENT!!!
ZAP! Three fives! Great job, Mer and pIps!
feb 04--sotm--Holy Pederasty Batman! 445
(SOTM FEB) Restored my Bat-vote. Same Bat-comment applies!
Always wondered about those two
(SOTM - Feb). Holy dark closets Batman. Still one of the great tv shows of all time - loved Batgirl.
(SOTM FEB) Seven months from behind I´m rammin´ you some fives.
(SOTM) Disgusting.
Ah well there ya go. Why do you think the Caped Crusader followed the Boy Wonder so closely when using the Batrope? It weren't for safety reasons ya know! Chill, the world is full of nastier things...it is just a parody...
Nice one M&P :-)
I learned the truth at seventeen
That Batman is a closet queen
Now, thanks to Hobbits' depth-charged wit
I'll L.M.A.O. over it

Kudos to all two-does of you for using a Janis Ian tune (and this one in particular) for this parody. Very original thinking went into just making that selection and then you followed it up with a very clever and funny piece. 5's across (FEB SOTM).
The sound effects were the best. Hilarious.
Heh, heh, very funny stuff. I forget his name, but a rather new vetriloquist/comedian said this... well, his dummy said it anyway: "...a man in a cape and skin-tights running around with a little boy. Don't have to have X-ray vision to see what's going on there."
I loved this show (well the reruns) back in the day
How did I miss this one? I guess I'm not the detective Batman is. Now we know what he was detecting, at least in the Adam West version. Or would that be the West Village version?
