The Lyrics

Song idea came from the fact Farrah Fawcett was left off the Oscar tribute montage to the people who passed away in 2009. It caused a stir. Also James Taylor was on and sang In My Life when the tribute ran. So I picked a James Taylor song to make a parody of the situation.
Well you'd think that she would be included in the oscar montage
of the people who passed away in 2009
But instead they skipped her and said they ran out of time
thought that nobody would notice but her family did
And so her husband was angry and her daughter wants an apology
because she did movies even thought they weren't big hits

chorus: Well they left out her name and they really didn't care
about Farrah Fawcett or the career she had. They didn't want her to be part of the death montage cause they really didn't like the Charlie Angels.

They included Michael Jackson, Patrick Swayze and also Dom DeLuise. Yet they left off Farrah Fawcett without a good reason. But they had Army Archerd some journalist. It would be great if they apologize but they say they ran out of time.

chorus: Well they left out her name and they really didn't care
about Farrah Fawcett or the career she had. They didn't want her to be part of the death montage cause they really didn't like the Charlie Angels.

Hey, ain't it sad to know that she was left out? People can be so cold.
They'll hurt you and desert you. Well they'll take your soul if you let them.
Oh yeah, but don't you let them forget about Farrah.

chorus: Cause they left out her name and they really didn't care
about Farrah Fawcett or the career she had. They didn't want her to be part of the death montage cause they really didn't like the Charlie Angels.
They really didn't like the Charlie Angels. No No No No They really didn't like the Charlie Angels. No they really didn't like the Charlie Angels.
Please remember Farrah Fawcett.

I don't know if it was the network or the Oscar crew, but about the first 3 or 4 people (including Patrick Swayze) did not receive close-up shots. So it's a good possibility Farrah was among the very first in the montage, but was not shown by the camera's of ABC (of all networks, considering they had "Charlie's Angels") .

She was intentionally left off. The P.T.B at the Academy felt she was a T.V. star, not a movie star. Yet she did Charlies Angels for one season and did no other T.V series again. Whereas she did 16 movies with favorable reviews in many. Michael Jackson was in the montage for The Wiz. Seems like Oscar doesn't respect sex symbols, even those with iconic status.

What OMM said. She's certainly more deserving than many who do get honored. .... Not going to vote, as I'd rather see the lines cleaned up into standard song format -- this is too hard to read and to check the pacing. Also, it shows more creativity if you vary the choruses, even if the original song repeats them -- top-level parodists do that.

Welcome to AIR! ... and as for the nick, I'm a confirmed Firefoxer myself, if that's the intention. ;)

Nothing wrong with the content; the first verse was the only one that flowed at all, and it was wordy at that. The rest went all over the board.
