The Lyrics

This isn't so much a parody as a song in celebration of my favourite food, written to the melody that bears its name.
I just love to eat popcorn, I just love to eat popcorn
I just really love to, really love to, love to eat popcorn
I just love to eat popcorn, I just love to eat popcorn
I just really love to, really love to, love to eat popcorn
I just love to eat popcorn, I just love to eat popcorn
I just really love to, really love to, love to eat popcorn
I just love to eat popcorn, I just love to eat popcorn
I just really love to, really love to, love to eat popcorn

I just love to eat popcorn, I just love to eat popcorn
I just really love to, just really love to, just love to eat hot popcorn
I just love to eat popcorn, I just love to eat popcorn
I just really love to, just really love to, just love to eat hot popcorn
I just love to eat popcorn, I just love to eat popcorn
I just really love to, just really love to, just love to eat hot popcorn
I just love to eat popcorn, I just love to eat popcorn
I just really love to, just really love to, just love to eat hot popcorn

Popping in the microwave
Popping in the microwave
Popping in the microwave
Popping in the microwave

I just love to eat popcorn, I just love to eat popcorn
I just really love to, just really love to, just love to eat hot popcorn
I just love to eat popcorn, I just love to eat popcorn
I just really love to, just really love to, just love to eat hot popcorn
I just love to eat popcorn, I just love to eat popcorn
I just really love to, just really love to, just love to eat hot popcorn
I just love to eat popcorn, I just love to eat popcorn
I just really love to, just really love to, just love to eat hot popcorn

I just love to eat popcorn, I just love to eat popcorn
I just really love to, just really love to, just love to eat hot popcorn
I just love to eat popcorn, I just love to eat popcorn
I just really love to, just really love to, just love to eat hot popcorn
Hot popcorn, hot popcorn
I just love to eat popcorn

Good choice, great original song. This is one of the very first recordings I remember that used all snythetic sounds. I can image your lyrics "sung" by a computer-generated voice to the original recording. ;D

Just like OMR, this is also one of the first all synthesizer songs I recall. Of course synths were fairly new and I was much too young to know about synths and electronic music. In many ways this song was way ahead of its time. A few years later it was hello, Kraftwerk. Your lyrical pacing is perfect for the melody of the Moog. Of course your lyrical content is perfect, it couldn't be any other topic : )
