Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Hartman: Ten Years Later"

Parody Written by:

Chris Bodily TM

In memoriam: Phil Hartman 1948-1998. Ten years gone. UCL = Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer. Frankenstein (Phil Hartman), Tonto (Jon Lovitz), and Tarzan (Kevin Nealon) did a funny recurring sketch together. Hartman spoofed the People's Court when Satan (Lovitz) was the defendant. JATW = Jingle All The Way. He also did Waldo's voice in the "Hot For Teacher" music video. Enjoy!
(Dan Pardo announces SNL in the 1980s)

Don Pardo said "come back again next week, on Saturday Night Live."
Thought that I would cry
That Thursday of fright
"Hartman died?" My heart did dive
There's a guy up there! Sinatra's got white hair!
Death just ain't fair!

Hartman!
Hartman!
Saw him on News Rad-yo
Hartman!
Hartman!
Sin in the name of SNL
Hartman!
Hartman!
He made Frank Sinatra so old
Never realized the way that Geico copped UCL, oh no!

(Guitar riff)

Late night, Studio 8H, the fire is burning
Frankenstein shouts, waving in his arms, then Tonto starts laughing
Jon Lovitz, Nealon, and...

Hartman!
Hartman!
(Un)Frozen Caveman Lawyer!
Hartman!
Hartman!
Once spoofed Wopner on People's Court
Frankie!
Franky!
He played two Franks who are so old
Played Frankenstein and Sinatra, that chef, Clinton, and much more...

(Main riff)

(Ad libs)

(Guitar solo)
[Plays to clips of Phil Hartman playing the Anal-Retentive Chef; Bill Clinton; Troy McClure doing Planet of the Apes on the Simpsons; Troy McClure speaking at Krusty's funeral; The Monorail Song; Frank Sinatra; Newsradio; Jingle All The Way; Small Soldiers; Houseguest]

Houseguest!
Houseguest!
Sinbad made a fun film
Hartman!
Hartman!
J-A-T-Dubya, different film
Santa!
Turbo!
Arnold looks for a Turbo Man doll
Never realized that Phil was so young, so talented, ten years!

(Main riff and ad libs)
(Clips play from Houseguest and Jingle All The Way)
(Waldo from "Hot for Teacher" clip is shown)

Great tribute to the late Phil Hartman, one of my favorite actors. 5's to you, Troy McClure, and Bill McNeal.
