The legend lives on from the ACME Store on down,
Of the cartoon they call "Looney Tunes,"
The coyote, he schemed in the desert's dry beam,
Chasing that Roadrunner, too soon.
The Wile E. Coyote, mighty and sly,
Tried to catch Roadrunner, oh my, oh my,
With dynamite, gadgets, and schemes so absurd,
But that bird always outsmarted this bird.

They said Wile E.'s plan was a tad overkill,
With ACME rockets, they say he'd persist,
He'd chase and he'd chase, but Roadrunner's swift pace,
Made the Coyote miss every twist.
The Wile E. Coyote, never to quit,
With anvils and traps, he just wouldn't quit,
But the Roadrunner zoomed, beep-beeping with glee,
As Wile E. faced gravity's decree.

In the canyons he'd race, always second place,
Anvil collisions and cliffs he'd embrace,
But the Roadrunner's fate, it was never too late,
To escape from that wild desert chase.
The Wile E. Coyote, with fire in his eyes,
Tried every invention, you can't deny,
But the Roadrunner's wit, it was just too darn slick,
As each ACME contraption made Wile E. kick.

One day in the end, with a "beep-beep," my friend,
Roadrunner just vanished from sight,
Wile E. stood still, on that lonely desert hill,
With his plans all gone up in smoke, that's right.
The Wile E. Coyote, he never could win,
Against Roadrunner's speed and that mischievous grin,
In the annals of toons, their legend's secure,
The Roadrunner's too fast, that's for sure!
