The Lyrics

I been sittin' all night, don't even get up to pee
And there's smoke coming out of my TV
My buddy called and said "It's coming on!"
Now I'm watching the Star Trek marathon

May be a loner and a girlfriend's out of reach
An organ donor and I'm planning to teach
I don't go outside at all

I got a thing that's called Trekker Love
I got a wave in my head
Trekker Love

Uhura sings some Antarean song
Romulans comin' on strong
Klingons got 'em hypnotized
And they're takin' over the Enterprise

Though I'm a loser to a cool guy or a jock
Just won a costume contest dressed as Mr. Spock
It don't get no better at all

I got a thing that's called Trekker Love
I got my mind in the sky
Trekker Love

[SOLO]

Season three, it's almost done
I'm on episode seventy-one
Last one to watch, here I go
And the warp drive powers down real slow

Uhura sings her final song
Romulans goin' on home
Change the station, guess what's on
Oh one more Star Trek marathon

When I get lonely and the real world's not enough
A subspace message fills my head from above
I don't need a com-link at all

I got a thing that's called Trekker Love
I got my mind in the sky
I got a thing that's called Trekker Love
I got a wave in my head
Trekker Love

Porfle - Great concept and good job. Just be careful of Sulu...I've heard some rumors about him. ;D

Sulu's okay just as long as you don't call him "Tiny."

Real good parody of a unique song that was FAR ahead of its time. If you're going to watch a Trekkie-thon ("Trekkie" is the American term) you need to revive with Vivarin! Actually I got to talk with, meet and greet Hikaru Sulu / George Takei at a Trekkie convention. He's not so "tiny", he's really calm, polite, cool and he will gladly answer questions about his acting career. He'll sign anything and he'll gladly smile for the camera giving the Live Long and Prosper sign. When he "outed" himself a few years back it stunned me because I would've never guessed in a million years (just like Rob Halford of ass-kicking Judas Priest). It doesn't change my opinions one bit. I love to listen to JP and Sulu / Takei is one amzing cool super trooper. Don't call him "Tiny" ; )

Thanks! "Trekkie" and "Trekker" are two terms I've always heard argued about by Trek fans. Some think "Trekker" sounds more serious--relatively, anyway. As for Sulu, I was always disappointed that we never got to see his further adventures as captain of the Excelsior. I never saw him in person, but I did get to see Scotty and Yeoman Rand at various times.

I also wish we could've seen more of Captain Sulu commanding the Excelsior. I did get to see Scotty also - my middle name is Scott and James Doohan's birthday is the same as mine - March 3. I also got to meet Deanna Troi and Captain Kirk. Up in Montreal the home where William Shatner grew up is rumored to be a "shrine" but when I visited that beautiful city I didn't know about that (if it's even true) and there's PLENTY of things to see and do there : )
