| Parody Song Title: | "Concrete Cowboy" |
| Parody Written by: | Airfarcewon |
I've been drivin' these trails so long
Drinkin' black coffee strong
I know each pothole in every state of this great land
Pop "wake-pills" and play the game
Makin' sure each load's just under the limit's my aim
Never pass a lit weigh station
Back and forth across the nation
And dimmin' em down when bright lights are shinin' on me..
I'm a Concrete Cowboy
Ridin' herd in a big deisel rig rollin' eighteen wheels
Just a Concrete Cowboy
Weavin' in and out'a thick traffic, with the skill of eels
And wearin' leather boots on my heels
Well, I really don't mind the miles
Yankin' air for pretty girl smiles
This CB and my stack a' CD's can shorten the long days
Soak up scenes when I'm drivin' thru
Places like Great Smokies, Colorado, Arch of St. Lou..
I'm headin' for an orange sun risin'
Out beyond the hood's horizon
And no one's as free as the Freeway freedom in me..
I'm a Concrete Cowboy,
Ridin' herd in a big deisel rig rollin' eighteen wheels
Concrete Cowboy
Cuttin' in and out'a thick traffic with the skill of eels
And wearin' fancy boots on my heels
I'm a Concrete Cowboy,
Ridin' herd in this big deisel rig rollin' eighteen wheels
FADE
I'm a Concrete Cowboy
Weavin' in and out'a thick traffic with the skill of eels
Drinkin' black coffee strong
I know each pothole in every state of this great land
Pop "wake-pills" and play the game
Makin' sure each load's just under the limit's my aim

It's a complete"wow," boy,
that you've written and I'm readin' and awardin' triple 5s (too slight!)
What's your next feat now, boy?
I can hardly wait until tomorrow when it when it heaves in sight
here at old amiright ...

maintains the romanticism of the OS....liked this a lot
Farce - Finest set of lyrics I've seen grace these pages in a while. Especially liked the "Yankin' air" sub. Your lyrics paint a fine mental image of the last American cowboy. Yep, them ol' boys get around a bit. There is one thing about the trucking industry that I find troubling. Ever see the trucking line called "Yellow"? Why are all of their tractors colored orange? Fine right here, Farce.
Great imagery. I've always wondered what a trucker's life is like but I suspect it's not the life for me!
Sir L"Air this is truly an American icon ! Combining the Cowboy with the Gentleman of the Highways! I love it, right down to the 'boots' line . . . I wonder if he had his 'chaps' on ? ? ?
Thanks all, for votes and comments
Sir L'Air , have a fun weekend, as you revel in the Magic 0'Fall. . . . PS: And be sure to wear gloves (non-Opera length-type) as you rake those leaves!
Ten-four and three fives good buddy
Sir L'Air, there is nothing quite like the sight of a Boot Stompin', ~ Wrangler wearin', ~ Rifle totin', ~ teQuila drinkin', ~ Pickup-truck drivin', ~ 2-Step Dancin', ~ Broad smilin' Cowboy ! . . . . I'm fainting, sir !
You're TOO funny, LCC...
