smoked a little while and POW
i began feeling quite a bit dour
i'm mad at myself...i hate myself
for having no damn will power
i find if i have pot...i don't know when to stop
make no effort to...save a doob or two
for a special time, when it mattered
i'm feeling so besmirched
as i search...for pot remaining
my god...that's tough...i've used it up
no point in me explaining
i can't leave it alone...i smoke all that i own
i'm stoned again, naturally

i think i smoked it yesterday
i was cheerful bright and gay
doing one or two...that just wouldn't do
i smoked them all without delay
and of course, it knocked me down
reality came unwound
if it is a crutch...i depend too much
cut my stems in little pieces
leaving none left out...i will pout...i feel perverted
for smoking such a thing as this
to ash, it is converted
in my hour of need...i find, at last, some weed
i'm stoned again, naturally

it seems to me that
i just love pot
weed is just my world
left unattended...my mind gets bended
what can i do ?...that's what i do

i've gotten out all of my gear
but my stash has disappeared
i remember i cried...cause i wasn't fried
and i didn't feel like a beer
there were sixty five joints rolled
they were acapulco gold
i can't understand..how a single man
could have held all that i'd taken
leaving me no dope...without hope...my psyche broken
despite an earnest vow from me
i cannot rein my tokin'
i bought some more today...it soon will pass away
