the funny thing is Dave, there is another parody of "Go your own way" called "Grow your own weed" on this site, and it came out before the SNL skit

Actully it did Dave.....It came out like a year before that SNL..I forget who wrote it though..its on the site...I dont know, SNL stole one of my ideas before (well, not intentionally....I just so happen to come up with a great idea, and the joke happened to be on SNL 2 weeks later..egh..damn, it was kinda funny too)
Dave: I resent the fact that you think this parody was plagiarized. I never heard the SNL bit, but I don't doubt that there was one. The burden of proof is on you - so prove it. hey you morrons, first off SNL did "grow your own weed" and that goes to you kimba. secondly, billy boy, your stupid ass prolly watched a re-run episode for the first time of them singing "grow your own weed" on snl......so shut your stupid mouth, snl made it up and this kimba dork copied and he knows it and your just dumb cause you thought you watched the snl episode live when it really was a re-run
It definitly wasnt a re-run.....the episode that it was on was this year....the parody came out over the summer before the new season started
Dave you ignorant jerk, learn to spell. Second, I'm female. Third, I never doubted SNL did a similar parody and I said so in my post. Fourth, I say to you again, prove that I copied it. I don't take ownership of the idea of "Grow Your Own Weed" - I take ownership of the content. Because I did not hear or see the SNL version, I highly doubt that the words are the same. You find the SNL parody and if the words are similar, I'll request that mine be taken down. Last, again, learn to spell and learn to put a sentence together. KTD
Dave you ignorant jerk. I thought I would help you out a bit. 1) It's "moron", not "morron" you moron. 2) "Probably" is the word you were probably looking for - I have no idea what "prolly" means. Perhaps you could enlighten us all? 3) "Rerun" is spelled without a hyphen. And, there is no need to use "re-run episode" - that's redundant (you may want to look that one up Dave). 4) "...and your just dumb" - Oh Dave? Here you want to use either "you're" or "you are". For example, "Dave, you are just dumb" and "Dave, you're just dumb" are both correct. KTD

i think weed is the best thing
I wrote the original parody of the song and yes it was before the SNL skit.
I came up with the parody while listening to the original song at work and I sang along to it and made everyone laugh their ass off. I posted it to here a month or two later. I left that job in November of 2001, so it was well before the skit.
