The Lyrics

I was watching Saving Private Ryan earlier, so it occurred to me to write a parody about D-Day. Anyways, enjoy the parody, and let us not forget the men who died fighting to defend our country from Nazism; for if they hadn't, we would not be enjoying such things as: Atari, AC/DC, ABBA, I Love Lucy, Nintendo, Dschinghis Khan, iPods, "Weird Al" Yankovic, M-16s, Jeopardy, Mad Max, Lemon Demon, MacGyver, Nintendo, Microsoft, The Blues Brothers, Rambo, etc... (this list could go on forever) OK, some of those things may still exist, but in altered forms. Just enjoy the parody.
That fateful morning of June 6,
The day was cold & gray.
Before we landed on the beach, the
Nazis fired away.
A lot of our friends had been killed,
Including Bob & Evan.
They died for their country,
And when they got to Heaven

They said hey,
(Hey),
Hey, St. Peter,
I’ve got something to tell:
One more soldier reporting, sir,
I’ve served my time in Hell.
I’ve served my time in Hell.

We didn’t think we would make it,
Gunfire was everywhere.
Few people advanced so far,
We were all in despair.
Then we got reinforcements,
We were glad that they came.
Soon after, the Nazis
Were crushed, and we were back in the game.

I say hey,
(Hey),
Hey, St. Peter,
I’ve got something to tell:
One more soldier reporting, sir,
I’ve served my time in Hell.
(Hell!)
I’ve served my time in
(Hell).

I say hey,
(Hey),
Hey,
(Hey),
Hey, St. Peter,
Hey,
(Hey),
Hey,
(Hey),
Hey, St. Peter,
Hey,
(Hey),
Hey,
(Hey),
Hey, St. Peter,
I’ve served my time in Hell.
(Hell!)
I’ve served my time in
(Hell!)

[instrumental solo]

Hey, St. Peter,
Before ya ring that bell,
I’ve just fought down in Normandy,
I’ve served my time in Hell.
I’ve served my time in
(Hell!)

I say hey,
(Hey),
Hey,
(Hey),
Hey, St. Peter,
Hey,
(Hey),
Hey,
(Hey),
Hey, St. Peter,
Hey,
(Hey),
Hey,
(Hey),
Hey, St. Peter,
I’ve served my time in Hell.
(Hell!)
I’ve served my time in Hell.
(Hell!)
I’ve served my time in…
(Hell).

Saturdays on AmIRight, I'm posting after midnight, and I'm still the first comment. . .I've made an even bigger mistake--I've got one coming tomorrow-on Sunday. . .Good job on this song though Dylan.
