The Lyrics

I wrote two parodies yesterday, one for Obama and one for McCain...while the other one's funnier I'm glad I'm able to post this one. Don't know the OS? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEZZ88ZOO6Q
Son, rise, wake up because
Obama has won today
A brand new morning, and soon
We're gonna wash eight years of blues away
Now George Bush will soon be gone
And we can see the light of dawn
Because our vote for change
Is giving us a brand new day

Daughter, now history is made
Freedom's children, rise!
We spent a long time
So fearful Martin's dream may have passed us by
But we all stood in line at dawn
This day we waited for so long
We've made history
Finally, reason to smile

Maybe now we can fix the world outside
Roll your sleeves, get to work, and feel some pride
Washington needs some fresh air
Take a breath of that fresh air
Fresh air

Children, The People made it clear
In the USA
No, you're not dreaming, one hundred
thirty million brought our dream this way
Oh now Mcain and Palin's gone
And we can see the light of dawn
We've got work to do
First, enjoy this brand new day
Brand new day

YES WE CAN !

Yes, this is highly unlikely, but I hope that the new Obama administration will take the time to look over everything that W. did during his 8-year reign regarding Iraq, Afghanistan and the so-called "War on Terrorism" and indict W. himself, Chaney, Condi, Rumsfeld and Ashcroft for their roles in starting an illegal war and killing thousands of innocent civilians and military personnel. Anyhow, Mason, here are your 5's straight across, and Alvin, this is the first time that I have seen you use capital letters of any kind in a comment.

Thanks Johnny D, AFW, and alvin. Andria--I hear ya...but IMHO it's more important now to focus all energy on repairing the damage, and deal with those responsible later.

This is very poetic, sir ! I like it , and I hope it comes true . . . I must say that I miss those " tumbling mice ", though!
Andria - November 05, 2008 - Report this comment
Mason, I have to agree, but when I wrote that comment, I was so ecstatic about Obama's victory that I failed to think about all the damage that W. did and the colossal amount of work and money required to fix it.
