The Lyrics

The lament of a parent of a picky eater with a bad temper.
Oh, I was trying everything on my toddler child
To get him to eat a well-balanced meal
But all he wanted was a bowl of breakfast
He was crying, making a big deal

I was seriously thinking about hiding his old blankie
Cause he won't do as he's told
He's throwing everything that I try to feed
him. Yes I think he's getting out of control

Cheerios are a food salvation
For my kid they help avoid starvation
I've tried to feed him healthy chow, but he won't reason
And he refuses to eat food sprinkled with seasons
There's sliced banana floating in his bowl
He better eat it with his Cheerios

He will not bite that grilled cheese sandwich
He is afraid of pears and apples
I want to make him wish he could eat fish sticks

Some of my friends sit around during playgroup
And their menus they will plan ahead
But everybody's kids will eat foods that are different
And they are not hard to put to bed
I've tried peanut butter, melon, orange
Burgers, hot dogs pickles, cheese
I've tried to serve a balanced meal
But Cheerios are his demand. When I serve him a lot of foods
He's got lungs and he screams how he feels

Cheerios are a food salvation
For my kid they help avoid starvation
I've tried to feed him healthy chow, but he won't reason
And he refuses to eat food sprinkled with seasons
There's sliced banana floating in his bowl
He better eat it with his Cheerios

In a Baggie, Cheerios
Always eating Cheerios
Everywhere, Cheerios
Cheerios, Cheerios
Cheerios, Cheerios
Cheerios, Cheerios

Pacing's a bit off here, but the original's pretty tricky. Funny lyrics, though!

Radio Radio is not an easy song to parody, so you did a great job on it. At least the kid will reduce his cholesterol.

Ah, this brings back memories.

Pacing's a wee bit off, Mason, but not enough to warrant a lost point...555 and well done
