Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

(hey, "mick", baby...tell 'em who we are)

well, we're fake rock singers...we play "sticky fingers"
and we bluff everyone we know
i sing it like "jagger" and he strums it like "keith"
for two or three hours a show
we got one guy for "bill"..."charlie watts" shoes are filled
and there's even "brian jones"
its a bill that'll get ya...we're the spittin' picture
playin' covers of "the rolling stones"

"rolling stones"...we don't play no songs from "undercover"
"stones"...but we play "li'l helper for my mother"...YEAH
"stones"...gonna blow that room away
playin' covers of the "rolling stones"

we sing of kooky ol' ladies...like that "angie" baby
we embellish on the theme
we're playin' famous long haired laddies...closest you've ever seen
cause its "stones" designed...the riffs and rhymes
yeah, we've got them down to the bone
its so real it'll get ya...we're the spittin' picture
playin' covers of the "rolling stones"

"rolling stones"...gonna do "lets spend the night together"
"stones"...and you'll hear "the shadow of my mother"...YEAH
"stones"..."off my cloud" you'll hear me say
playin' covers of the "rolling stones"

we get a lotta wigged-out weirdo mid-aged groupies
who will swoon if we fire up "sway"
we make it genuine...don't want no boo-boos
practice still we get it straight
we take on all songs...the boys ever tried
and perfect 'em till they're finely honed
but it don't get us richer...even if the spittin' picture
playin' covers of "the rolling stones"

"rolling stones"...have you heard our "satisfaction", brother ?
"stones"...you'd prefer us if you had your druthers...YEAH
"stones"...gonna climb upon that stage
playin' covers of "the rolling stones"

playin' covers of the "rolling...
"stones"...there's a chance, we'll start a little buzz here
"stones"..."start me up"...and see just how it does here...YEAH
"stones...gonna make my "jagger" face
playin' covers of "the rolling stones"

(you oughta see me, man...i have the big lips and everything...ah, beautiful)

Nah, you ain't any better than before...the rest of us are just getting crappier, so that makes you LOOK better...Actually, my statement is totally wrong...I just hated the idea of saying "Me too"...ya' already got three of those ahead of me...lol..This reminds me...I saw these guys at this Coffee House down in San Pedro...think it was called "Sacred Grounds" (the place)...anyway, they were Led Zeppelin imitators...I think their name was "Led Zeplin" or something like that...they DID look very much like the real guys in many ways...they weren't too bad, but the novelty wears off after maybe 2 or 3 songs.

Well-covered here, and thanks for reminding me of "Mother's Little Helper", I've got a few ideas for that song.

Now that I finally know what you look like, Alvin (see the Parody Writers Photo Thread on the messageboard, people!), this parody seems to make a whole lot more sense! 5-worthy as always.

A parody of a parody, and a darn fine one! OS was a great parody of rock fame scene. Fives is par for your pair a' para-parodies, and a pear tree from Partridge family, too.
