The Lyrics

A long lunchtime ago
I can still remember how
The dinner used to fill me up
And I knew if I went shopping
That I could get some lovely lunch
And make me a full-up person

So....

Buy, buy a chicken pie
Put it in the oven for the cooking so the crust is hi
Them good-ole lunches were drinking whisky and rhy
Singing, "This will be the day that I starved"
This will be the day that I starved

A long lunchtime ago
I can still remember how
The dinner used to fill me up
And I knew if I went shopping
That I could get some lovely lunch
And make me a full-up person

so...

Buy, buy a chicken pie
Put it in the oven for the cooking so the crust is hi
Them good-ole lunches were drinking whisky and rhy
Singing, "This will be the day that I starved"
This will be the day that I starved

Buy, buy a chicken pie
Put it in the oven for the cooking so the crust is hi
Them good-ole lunches were drinking whisky and rhy
Singing, "This will be the day that I starved"
This will be the day that I starved

Buy, buy a chicken pie
Put it in the oven for the cooking so the crust is hi
Them good-ole lunches were drinking whisky and rhy
Singing, "This will be the day that I starved"
This will be the day that I starved

This love for the pie that I had
Made me so glad that I had my fad
So this dessert was wonderful
And this is the day my hunger died

We started singing:

Dude, you already submitted this one, and it did poorly & got deleted. Why do you submit it again?

Sorry, Mr 1s...this just isn't very good. The pacing is very poor, your rhyme scheme is all over the place, it doesn't make much sense alot of the time (lunches drinking whisky and rye?) and it's not funny. You need to work harder to earn more than the 222 I'm giving you.

Poorly made. That's all I can say...

Mr 1s, please check a set of lyrics found on the net or listen to TOS before making a parody next time. About the only good things I can say about this parody is the number of choruses is correct and you correctly spelt Don McLean's name. You're missing 80% of the verses, and what you have, as Kristof said, has dodgy rhyming and makes little sense. I'm afraid I could only be half as generous as his 222 vote. Better luck next time.

This one's still not deleted? Gee, "American Spy" got deleted twice, so why not this one?
Jason - June 11, 2007 - Report this comment
Dylan, I believe 'American Spy' only had ONE verse and TWO choruses, so here Mr 1s has included (slightly) more of the song.
