The Lyrics

This is the Prologue for "Spider-Man the Musical." It's to be sung by Peter Parker and a chorus of scientists.
A long, long time ago
I can still remember how spiders used to drive me wild.
And I know if I had my chance,
I'd ask Mary Jane for a dance,
And maybe, we'd be dancing for a while.

Will I shoot webbing from my glove?
And it is Mary Jane that I love?
If you know how the comics go,
And this song is going by real slow.

I can't remember who I'll beat
When we fight on the street.
But I think I will win,
The day the spider bites.

(Chorus)
Goodbye, Peter Parker Guy.
Not a fighter, bit by a spider, and he thought he would die.
So now hes a hero, and that is no lie.
He is Spider-Man, and you can't deny.
He is Spider-Man, and you can't deny.

Well I know a spider will bite me,
Because its the way fate will be.
And I will rescue her,
The same events always occur!

I am a lonely, awkward teenage geek.
Some people might call me a freak.
But I was on a bad luck streak.
The day the spider bites
I started singing

(Chorus)

going ok...a little messed up on pacing, then all of a sudden the song ends! you know there are 4 and a half more verses missing!

Yeah... I know it's not the whole song. I really don't have the attention span to listen to the whole song, let a lone write a parody to it. Ha, ha. This was actually done for a school project, and I didn't have the chance to listen to the song and compare as I was writing it. (The drama class had to write plays, and my group wanted to write Spider-Man the Musical. The show also had to be done in three scenes and only be one act long. In order to meet the guidelines, we had to keep the songs shorter.)
