"American Lie"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

self explanatory - anyone care to finish this one off?
Well I remember '85
the last day music was alive..

but January '03 made us shiver,
with every newspaper they delivered..
bad news right on our doorstep,
pray to God you don't take one more step..

and for...

'Did you write the book of love,
and do you have faith in God above...'

'We don't want to go to war
just 'cos Clony Scare's become Dubya's whore...'

'We know that you're in bed with him,
and we see right through that sickly grin,
can we believe what they're sayin' in the news,
that your 'shock and awe's' are really nukes?

And they were singing,

Bye bye to the American lie
Fly the bombers to Iraq
'Cos you're oil wells are dry
And the military boys have got some new toys to try
Singin' sorry but we don't wish to fry
Not for some American lie

something in the rules about parodying THE WHOLE SONG.
John Jenkins - December 10, 2003 - Report this comment
I agree with Steve. It is not easy to write a parody of the entire song; but if it is too much, try to parody shorter songs.
