Original Song Title:

"Rock On"

 (MP3)
Original Performer:

David Essex

Parody Song Title:

"Lockjaw"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

stretched lips
blocked 'em cold
lockjaw
ol' pie hole
gash ripped
rusty, too
did ya

"hey", shout
bummer, i'm screwed
jump up and down in my punctured shoe
teeth gripped
talk on hold
lockjaw

a rare bit of woe, i hear
wishin' all day it'd clear

still lookin' poor
no smile deemed
in between
grittiest thing...but cannot scream
my mouth aches...greenish tinge is seen
what's it mean ?

gangrene !

it feels bad as it appears
could stay this way all year

still crooked more
a slight lean
mouth, unclean
nary a thing can get between
need a slake for a thirst, obscene
what's it mean ?
what's it mean ?
lockjaw

stretched lips...blocked 'em cold...lockjaw
teeth gripped...talk on hold...lockjaw
stretched lips...blocked 'em cold...lockjaw
teeth gripped...talk on hold...lockjaw
stretched lips...blocked 'em cold...lockjaw
teeth gripped...talk on hold...lockjaw

Thanks for bringing back that old childhood nightmare! ;-) Seriously, great job, inventive concept! (Also, check out Todd Rundgren's "Lockjaw" from his album "A Capello"!)

Good song. Reminds me of those Werebears- you know, those reversible plush teddys from 80's? This song reminds me of both Fang and Gums- I still have those werebears actually.

Werebears were plush bears like the Carebears but with a twist- according to their story tapes each of them become monstrous under the light of the full moon. Grizzler was the leader- he was afraid of heights and transformed whenever he was on a very high place, Gums was claustaphobic, had no teeth at all and transformed whenever he was in a small dark space, Fang had one fang in his mouth when in his transformed state, Howler had a super powerful howl of some kind and Growler could transform whenever he wanted. The werebears were based on a comic book I believe. The werebears are now actually very rare and collectible.

Alvin - Ever heard of tetnus? I suggest that you get a shot of the antibody serum by the same name. Good thing your fingers and hands were not affected or we would never be able to read this fine parody. You should get an honorary "Jaw Degree" for this. Fine write, sir.
