Great job, but I had to dock you a point for 1) thinking that this 1956 classic is obscure, and 2) forgetting that it was Smiley Lewis (and then Fats Domino) who did it well before Dave Edmunds, who mentioned them both in his 1971 version.
Michael, right--Dave's shouting Smiley and Fats' names in the background...so I deserved that! In any case, I love the Dave Edmunds version.
RMason - Glad to see someone else jumping in and doing one of these. Good job! I like the attitude that "I Hear You Knockin'" gives the Dylan lyrics... 5's...
