Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Crosby Cooks:(Bonus Track)Sucking up to Dave"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Well, didn't it have to end this way? Crosby quit the group after the last re-ordered track ("Crosby Cooks at Our House"), but here the other guys (*except for Neil Young...not with the group when they did this track on the "Daylight Again" album) realize they want him in the group...just not making their food - and so figure out a way to suck-up to Dave in way to salvage his pride and still get someone else to do the food preparation. This bonus track brings the "Crosby Cooks: Dave's Bad Food" saga to a happy ending. NOTE: This parody track needs to be sung in the most unctuous, kiss-ass tone possible. Tomorrow I will give the re-sequenced Track Order of the Project and a bit of connective narrative to the overall story...
Please sit dow-ow-wn, Dave
We've exciting news
to tell you
It's important that you hear
the things we say

We must tell you now
that we all are
very sorry
For the way that we
comported ourselves

Now it's time for us
to "fess up
we weren't very fair
Uncool to treat you
in that wa-aa-aaay

So it now
behooves us
to apologi-ii-iiize
We are sorry
but there's more
we have to sa-aaay

(Instrumental Break)
{During Instrumental Break - sing following part lightly to the tune}
now it's time for
us to
ki-ii-iiss up
because we've
that we really need

Except for *Neil Young
we regret the way
we acted
it is time that
we retracted
all those an-gry words

Food was not that bad
Truth is we were all
just jealous
and our envy did
compel us
to treat you like turd

We're here now
to kiss up
here to kiss your ass
We're sorry
we caused
you dis-ma-aay

Hope these words
are soothing
and smooth off
the e-ee-eeddge
We're so sorry for our
immature dis-pla-aay

We're here now
to suck-up
Keep you in the group
Harmony you do
can't be repla-aaced

And we've hired
else to cook
the fo-oo-ood
It was so unfair
to make you do that
While we sat on our behinds
and watched you slaa-aa-aa-aa-aaaavvve
(Kiss, kiss)
* Neil Young was not in the group when they did this OS...

Thanks, all! Tomorrow I'll be posting a piece with the entire re-sequenced Track Order Listing and a Narrative that will (hopefully) give the story-line continuity. At least I THINK it will be tomorrow...not quite finished with the narrative yet...

I consider this a great compliment, JD, since it comes from someone well acquainted with both attributes ~ ~ ~
