The Lyrics

Trying to get a new kitten to peacefully co-exist with my Border Collies is proving to be a challenge. Sam the cat has an alpha personality and of course Border Collies are naturally hyper. Here's my take on what my canines think of this feline.

DKTOS? Youtube it HERE

Hydrants admire,
Try bite the tires of cars chased,
Will be caught some day.

Sharing turns to sire,
With Bowser the schnauzer.
Cats like hissin' at you,
They don't love dogs,
Lazy hogs climb trees,
Nasty kitty.

Come feed me now,
For rest, have bed; that cat lies in it,
Furry thing's so rude,
Such an attitude, (Won't catch rats for you)
Hits catnip, gets inebriated,
(High on weeding)
Moonshine to him,
Hairy phlegm he spews,
Upchuck he threw-ew-ew.

He loused up my very, very, very fine house, (That louse)
That new cat tub o' lard,
Life for me's gotten hard,
Does not a thing that's pleasey,
Not a clue,

He says m'ow-m'ow not bow wow-wow-wow-wow bow-wow-wow wow-wow wow-wow-wow - wow-wow wow wow wow-wow...

Our cat is a very, very, very fat cat (fat-cat)
Subdue that fat retard,
The next time he's off guard,
And that should be quite easy,
While he snooze,
So I'll...

I'll fight with fire,
And I'll chase that me-ower under car,
That drives the high-way-ay-ay.

Sir Guy, we kitties have got to learn 'hold our own' , in this world of K-9's & Cowboys ! . . . I am on vacation now . . . my sister & I are in Nevada , as we head East to deliver my dearNephew to college . . . I'll be 'back in the saddle' next Monday, . Tally Ho, Sir Guy; do give that kitty a kiss for me!

Now if you could just train your border collies to herd cats instead of sheep your problems would all be solved (fat chance of that)...fun write!!!...555!!!

We have a visiting cat at our house, but we don't have a dog, so it peacefully coexists with us. (Yeah, right!) 555, and the "Bowser the schnauzer" line made me crack up. Comparing a dog to the Koopa King?

The "m'ow/bow": utterly hilarious!

You may surmise from some of my past parodies, I'm not a feline fancier...but, I cat see anything wrong with this parody..in fact, it's extremely well constructed...

Especially liked hairy phlegm. Great desciption of what I find on my kitchen floor every few weeks with blades of grass in them.

Lexcellent! And after reading this I'll take gin'n'tonic over catatonic any day!

Alvin - This was a reworked parody - I improved it substantially. I did it for the ABC "O" round comps. Doublechecking the original I found missing lines and missing echo lyrics. You can't trust those lyrics writers on those lyrics sites. I get the lyrics and then listen to the OS on Youtube if I don't have my own copy and then painstakingly stop, rewind, relisten and edit until I get the OS lyrics perfecto. Then and only then can one write a proper parody. So I changed it up to new and improved and off it goes into comp. land. And I really do have a new kitten and border collies. I also had Phlegm spelled wrong in the original which you so kindly pointed out in your comment last time. Pleasey take my Thank you.

Mark - Thanks - The kitty is going to keep the varment population down. Recently a farm near my house was sold and made into a housing tract. All kinds of varments are showing up - even possums. He's going to be an indoor/outdoor feline just as soon as I can get him fixed so he stays out of fights with other cats.

M'Lady 'tis not my habit of kissing furry creatures but for you I will plant a wee peck on the feline. Thanks.

Leo - Yeah we had two other outdoor cats and my dog's attempted to herd them - and you think a rodeo is fun... Thanks.

DJ - Not sure who koopa king is but he sounds like a frisky fellow. Thanks.

John - I figured someone would get a laugh out of that but I didn;t expect it to be you. Thanks for your comment.

Farce - Cats are fine, but my dogs rule. Thanks.

Andy - sounds quite appetizing. Thanks for sharing that with me. Nice detail. =;-)

TJC - Yeah but if you imbibe in too much gin'n'tonic you most likely will become catatonic. Thanks for reading and commenting.

That cat sounds like Garfield! We don't have cats, but we have 2 dogs. My Shih Tzu, Jasmine always barks at one of our neighbor's cat so it doesn't #2 in our front yard. I agree with you that it's a challenge to convince canines and felines to get along with each other. One of my friends in college had cats named: Snowflake, Kiddy Cat, and Ribbons. Great parody, Guy! 5 Fancy Feasts, 5 fish, and 5 catnips for your kitty-kitty-catty!

Christie - I haven't tried any lasagna on him yet, but when I do and if he likes it like Garfield, I'll let you know ASAP. Good girl, Jasmine - don't take no crap from no sneaky felines. Thanks for your comment, Christie Marie.

(ABC5O) I stand by my original rating. And I'll tell you about Bowser the Koopa King: He was the villain in the Super Mario games. No offense, but I don't think "frisky" is a good word for him. He needs something more like "tyrannical".
Agrimorfee - August 23, 2009 - Report this comment
(ABC) Having been a cat owner half of my life, I feel the pain here. :) Once again, it's my preference for parodies that lean towards proper English, even for the sake of poesy. The bowowwow was inspired.
Timmy1000 - August 23, 2009 - Report this comment
(ABC5 O) I liked this one from the dog's perspective; I think you captured that well. Pacing and phrasing are good on this too.
Mark Scotti - August 28, 2009 - Report this comment
(ABC5O) Relly liked this one on the first read. The second one just displays more puuuurfection!!
Matthias - September 01, 2009 - Report this comment
I agree with Agrimorfee on the fact that I would rather have a parody with proper english but I still liked this because I owned a cat that was just like this see "Damn Kitten"
Guy @ Ag and Matt - September 01, 2009 - Report this comment
You guys flame me for proper English but you never cite anything that annoys you. Next time you want to bad me for the grammar tell me what it is that you don't like so I'll know - not that it will make much difference. But it would be nice to know what breaks the lead in your pencils.

(ABC) Aww.... 5-5-5! and a box of kitty liter and Doggie Downers! (HIlarious, too!)
Guy - September 03, 2009 - Report this comment
Melanie - Yea the dogs could use some downers on occasion - they are of the smartest and most hyper breed of dog that there is, And the Kitty is a trip besides the fact that he;s evil. Thanks for commenting and voing me a few points in the comp - I gave you karamel on the board.
bobpiecheese - September 03, 2009 - Report this comment
(ABC5) Yeah, the grammar's a bit off, but it doesn't annoy me as much as it does Agri and Matthias. Interesting idea here, pretty well executed and probably the only downside is that the OS isn't the one I was hoping it to be (I was expecting the Madness song, not whoever these guys are). 555

ABC5(O) Commented and voted above...Still a fun parody with excellent rhymes!!!

Being honest here, I had trouble following it because the lines didn't transition for me. I'm sorry Guy, I just couldn't get into this one at all--and I love cats and dogs, I just didn't get it. . .
Red Ant - September 04, 2009 - Report this comment
At first I thought this would be set to Madness' song of the same name. Good one here Guy, but please don't refere to my cat as "that fat retard - that's my job. =)
