The Lyrics

As someone as pointed out, the citizens of this country, the USA, who felt oppressed, stood and fought for their civil rights--that's the difference between them and those who are trying to bulldoze their way in--they are not fighting for their civil rights where they came from.
Later in the evenin', after siesta time
Over by the fences they are all starting to climb
Bunches on the border, wanting to waltz right in
Hoping that sheer numbers are gonna make em win

Down on the border, shouting defeat
Won't fight for their own land
And I think it's pretty beat

Fox is down there grinning, "my people just gotta go"
Where they're gonna end up, don't ask me, I don't know
Send em up to Detroit, even Kalamazoo
Some will end up further, maybe even in igloos

Down on the border, stomping their feet
Go and fight for your own
If you really wanna eat

Down on the border, shouting defeat
They should fight for their rights
But they let themselves get beat

You don't need no ID just to hang around
But Mexico you don't love, if so why do you run?
Why should you be loyal to the USA
If you cannot stand up for Mexico today?

Down on the border, shouting defeat
Won't fight for their own land
And I think it's pretty beat

555, I have no problem with the ones who are here legally, but if they're illegal, they shouldn't come here unless they are working to get citizenship.

I really liked the idea of comparing the citizens of the USA who fight oppression with simply those who are trying to bulldoze their way in instead of figting oppression in their OWN country. Good job, Royce.

For various reasons, we have allowed most illegal immigrants to become an important part of our economy. I believe that some form of amnesty is appropriate; but, for national security and to prevent our immigration laws from continuing to be meaningless, we need to do something about protecting the borders. Oh, very good parody, Royce, particularly the "Kalamazoo/igloos" couplet.
