The Lyrics

Traded bonds all morning feelin sick of lyin
There was something wrong and there could be no denying
Foolin them was easy they didn't know what they were buyin

So I said - 'farewell to Wall Street'
Bye bye to the bank
Though I really did try to make it
Somethin inside had died - it was my pride and I just couldn't take it
Oh no no no no no no

Next day I woke up feelin lousy ...tried to clear my head
I saw a pretty dark eyed woman lying in my bed
Then I started to remember getting stoned and makin out on the dance floor

At the end of the evening as the crowd fell away
I hear the DJ playin 'careless whisper'

I reached out and pulled her close to me-
I knew she wanted it too ......and I kissed her

So slow

Stayed in bed all morning makin love sublime
But you know we're still together cos she's just so fine
I'm so glad for what we've had and how I still love her

And it's not too late baby
Not too late
Cos we really did try to make it
she makes me feel so alive and I can't hide it and I just wouldn't fake it
oh no no no no no no

the pacing was off, and it seems like two different songs joined together, and they don't fit, 4-3-3

hey sloathead thanks for the feedback.. actually the song if fien when you sing it live... anyway there is a story behind it was written for a banker who worked for an investment bank in New York and got disillusioned with it all and west to californaoi and became a professor of law.. he wrote some really good books about Wall Street and i know he loves the song careless whisper....so the first verse it based on rality .. the rest I made up!
