The Lyrics

I had been wanting to spoof this song for quite some time. I meant to use this OS to spoof for a Halloween theme last month, but, unfortunately, I didn’t get to complete it due to the fact that we were getting our carpets done last month. Well, next year, maybe. So, to make up for it, here’s a little something I whipped up for Thanksgiving! Chow down!
(Munch, munch, munch, munch!) (8x)

There was a bunch of guests that entered our abode
Come and greet them all, have them make themselves at home
Those people gathered in, to share this lovely feast
Let us all say grace, let’s enjoy this hearty meal

Mashed potatoes, sides in silver platters
Turkey roasted up just right
Pour some gravy, watch, don’t make a splatter
Who will get first bite?

Fun on Thanksgiving
Joyous, blissful gathering
It’s nice to socialize with your kin
Fun for Thanksgiving
Choose either dark or white meat
Make sure to save the rest of the skin

Go eat some lovely peas, with onions white like pearls
Corns on cob, string beans, are just waiting to be served
The sauce of cranberry had never tasted sweet
Whole berry, jellied, so as long it’s good to eat

We had all became compulsive eaters
Craved on stuffing and corn bread
Had appetites like voracious creatures
We are happily fed!

Fun on Thanksgiving
Grandpa’s jokes are such a scream!
I cracked up hard, fell out of my chair!
Fun on Thanksgiving
Who’ll eat that last turkey wing?
Our dog had earned it right fair and square!

(Spoken):
And through this eating and drinking,
And this hunger for chowder became known to more and more people
The demands to be somewhat outrageously famished, would
Turn us fatter and fatter!

(Munch, munch, munch, munch!)
(Crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch!) (4x)

Our appetite’s still strong, not quite completely filled
As long as we eat, we would be completely thrilled
Carrots and yams to dine, go feast on some wild rice
Save room for dessert, Ma has made delicious pies!

We are filled from too much of that “stuffing!”
We won’t feel a pound to light
As we walk, so soon will end up huffing
Can’t eat one more bite

Sweets for Thanksgiving
More dessert that they will bring
There’s peanut brittles and pumpkin pie
Sweets on Thanksgiving
Go wash it off with coffee
Those pecan brownies caused us to sigh!

Stuffed on Thanksgiving
We had all that we can eat
Loosened our belt as we sat to rest
Full on Thanksgiving
Felt like thousand meals to eat
This one big feast that we won’t forget!

(Spoken):
Oh, I'm Too Stuffed!!
Forgive me if the lyrics are a little vague and rusty. It was kind of a last minute idea and I was in a rush to write this parody. Anyways, Have a Great Thanksgiving!!!!!!

My gosh, Christie... you're putting up more parodies in a week than I usually do! Very good job, and you'll get 5s. BTW, I will have a good Thanksgiving, and I hope you do, too. :-)

Thanks to DJ, Andria, and, John! :)....DJ, I know I usually don't write much parodies, but I had to do this one for this coming holiday! I also can't wait till tomorrow. As for putting up 2 in a row, remember, you're the who has a total count of 73 parodies this year! I'm sure you'll get come up with something! I feel I should write more than I should have....Andria, I actually stayed up real late writing this parody. I actually I wished that I could've put more work into it. Boy, I've been an AIR member for 2 years and up to now I wrote 16. I should have a lot more parodies by now! I remember like yesterday we had an equal amount of parodies, but now you have a total count 57 parodies this year. I definitely need to catch up with everybody!...John, glad you enjoyed my parody! I've enjoyed yours as well. As a matter of fact, I've always enjoyed your parodies, especially your "Spell" parodies!

So this is the Thanksgiving that Tiger Woods wished he had? Good stuff, CMM, particularly the stuffing line.

Pacing wasn't quite perfect, but wow what a fun TOS--I've never heard it before--very Discow Moscow meets American Disco--I loved the original, and your parody was fun too

Agreement with Dave on this being one hell of an awesome song! Two thumbs up for parodying this pretty epic song and introducing me to it.

(Holiday) "Vague and rusty"?. I beg to differ. This was a great, great parody.
Christie Marie M - December 03, 2010 - Report this comment
Thanks (giving) lots to everyone! :)

Mark - Glad you enjoyed my delicious parody the second time!

Dave - Yeah, I agree that pacing wasn't quite perfect, especially when I did the spoken part. TT's nice enough to give me a pace/stressing tips from my last parody. Glad you enjoyed this fun parody and glad you liked the song!

Matthias - Like Dave, glad you love the song and enjoyed my parody. As a matter of fact, everybody's was awesome.

Agri - Thanks for that comment. I feel so much better. The reason I mentioned that it was vague and rusty was because at the time I felt that I was in a rush to submit this the day before Thanksgiving and didn't want to miss a timely submit to a parody. I also didn't have time to rehearse the pacing much either. But now I don't have to worry about anything anymore now that you and everyone else enjoyed this.
